The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Dylan’s (Steve Burton) life will hang in the balance. As Dylan works to earn Fisk’s (Scott Speiser) trust, the danger will rev up. Y&R has been dropping hints about Dylan’s potentially grim fate. He’s obviously going to end up in some major trouble.
If Dylan gets hurt or killed, who will be to blame? There are plenty of people involved in this, but which one might ultimately be responsible for Dylan’s destiny? Let’s look at a few of the people who led Dylan to this point.
First, we have Sharon (Sharon Case). She kept the truth about Christian under wraps and Dylan was understandably crushed when she finally confessed. He still would’ve been hurt if Sharon had come clean immediately, but prolonging the inevitable made the situation worse. Dylan had more time to get attached to “Sully.”
Now Sharon has jeopardized the case by contacting Dylan. He covered her blunder, but there’s no guarantee that it won’t come back to haunt him later. If something else happens, that moment might reinforce Fisk and Alex’s (Jess Webb) decision not to trust Dylan.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) also shares some blame for Dylan’s predicament. If Nick hadn’t been so strict about boundaries, Dylan probably wouldn’t have taken this case. He was just trying to escape the pain of having Christian ripped from his life.
That brings us to Paul (Doug Davidson). Did he really think it was a great idea to send Dylan on this mission? Dylan isn’t in a good place emotionally and Paul knew this would make things tougher on his already strained family. You could argue that Paul should’ve known better than to let an emotional Dylan put himself in such peril.
Of course, Dylan could’ve chosen another path. Perhaps he’s the one responsible for his possible downfall. Instead of working through his grief and repairing his marriage, Dylan has chosen to run away. He may regret that as this Young and the Restless storyline moves forward.
If you don’t think Dylan is at fault, maybe you simply blame Fisk. If this criminal resorts to violence, then Dylan’s blood is on his hands. Fisk and his team certainly deserve criticism for their actions.
Sharon will be in desperate need of some comfort once Dylan’s drama plays out. Luckily, Nick can step up in that department. We’ll give you updates as more Young and the Restless news comes in.
