The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon’s (Bryton James) relationship may not be over. Devon just signed the divorce papers, but not before one last romp in the sack with Hilary. There’s always a chance that Hilary will be pregnant as a result of their last sex session.
Of course, Hilary is single and ready to mingle now. Although Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) will share a close moment with Lily (Christel Khalil) soon, he could still be kept in Hilary’s orbit. If Hilary hooks up with Jordan within the next few episodes, Y&R could leave us asking “Who’s the daddy?”
Naturally, the answer would most likely be Devon. Hilary drives him crazy sometimes, but they seem destined to be together. A baby would undoubtedly seal the deal. It could make them forget about the pain of the past and focus on their bright future.
Devon would probably be a great dad, but would Hilary be a decent mom? The Young and the Restless fans know that Hilary can be unbelievably selfish. She would have to put her child first when it really counts. In other words, Hilary would need to grow up.
With some hard work, Hilary could learn how to be a loving parent. Once she held that baby in her arms, perhaps Hilary would be a changed woman. Ever since Devon’s crash, Hilary has been on the right track anyway. She hasn’t pulled any major stunts since then.
If that trend continues, Hilary could officially leave scheming behind. That could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. Some Young and the Restless viewers love to watch Hilary stir up trouble. Others feel like Hilary should settle down and be the wife Devon deserves.
Having a baby could certainly help Hilary drop all the deviousness. There would still be ways to incorporate soapy drama. For example, Hilary could get a post-partum depression arc. Y&R could also throw in an abduction later on. At some point, pretty much all soap babies get kidnapped.
There’s no guarantee that the CBS soap will take the surprise pregnancy route, but it might be a fun twist. It’s worth mentioning that Devon will soon have regrets about signing the divorce papers. That may mean that a baby isn’t needed to bring them back together.
Then again, Devon’s doubts could simply show us that a reunion wouldn’t just be about the kid. This is about Hilary and Devon’s destiny. Are they truly soul mates? Will they start a family?
