The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary's Honesty Wins Back Devon – Hevon Pulled Back From Abyss

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Hevon isn’t dead. Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) unexpected turn toward honesty will impress her husband. She’ll slowly win Devon’s (Bryton James) heart back just when it seemed that this super couple was wrecked.

How often have males been tagged as schemers, cheaters, liars, hounds and whatever other slanderous sexist assaults so-called advancing moralists wished to propagate to the world? Yes, this form of discrimination has wormed it’s way into the public’s consciousness as a frontal attack. But then there was Hilary.

Oh so pretty and smart. Smoldering eyes and a wondrous smile. That’s exactly what Neil (Kristoff St. John) fell for, which came after he’d forgiven the woman who falsely accused him of leaving her mother for dead.

Hilary Curtis has been trouble since she first arrived in Genoa City. Of course her masked name was as fake as her vile intentions toward the Winters’ family were real. Then Ann Turner cheated on her husband with Devon.

Now, make no mistake, Mr. Hamilton used his own free will to betray his father by cavorting with Neil’s bride. And by the way, Neil was blind to boot at the time. So Devon isn’t a completely innocent party. As for Hilary, well, she’s been toxic until recently.

Devon’s car crash appears to have forced Hilary to wake up from her self-induced me-first coma. It’s reasonable to withhold full support for this woman until she proves herself completely. But, if that happens it’s surely possible that Devon’s kind-hearted nature and most importantly, his love, was influencing Hilary all along.

Adding to her positive checklist, it’s also reasonable to believe that Hilary was attracted to Devon from the beginning because, like Neil, he is a good man. Was she subconsciously seeking to redeem her life all along, or at least since Neil offered her forgiveness? Yes.

And all the offended can get over themselves. Men can help women, women can help men and both can help the same gender as well. Uh, that proves equality.

The most encouraging element of Hevon’s potential reconciliation is the redemptive issue that was raised. Those who claim that any commentary on, or recognition of another person’s faults somehow represents ‘judging’ and therefore is wrong are actually wrong themselves. Allowing everyone to do anything all the time isn’t open-minded, it’s reckless, irrational and uncaring.

So many of Hilary’s detractors should feel both encouraged and reassured. Nearly all of their beliefs, if not all, were exactly on point. And when this woman remains consistent and halts all undeserved male-bashing she’ll rightfully earn everyone’s trust, most importantly Devon’s.
