The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are likely headed for a reunion down the road. Since they seem to be endgame, we should speculate on how Y&R might bring them together. Nick is currently with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), but that relationship isn’t going to last forever.
Maybe The Young and the Restless should consider using two fan favorites for a new storyline. Most of us are missing Ian (Ray Wise) and Patty (Stacy Haiduk) right now. How could they get involved again? Let’s think about a few possibilities that could add a good dose of excitement.
What if Ian broke out of prison once more? He could head over to Patty’s psychiatric facility to break her out as well. Ian appeared to genuinely care about Patty during the time they shared together. Perhaps he’s been pining for her in the slammer. This could be their chance for a new life as a twisted, crazy couple.
What kind of scheme could Ian and Patty come up with on the run? To figure that out, we have to remember who their enemies are. Ian always likes to go to war with Victor (Eric Braeden). Patty is undoubtedly holding a grudge against Sharon, too.
Sharon promised to help Patty gain her freedom, but that obviously didn’t pan out. Patty eventually exposed the truth about Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) to Nick. Did that truly satisfy her need for vengeance? Ian might work on a strategy to get back at both Victor and Sharon. They could even make some money in the process.
Let’s say Chelsea is babysitting Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Christian at the park. She might step away for a moment to get the kiddos some ice cream. When Chelsea returned, Faith and Christian could be gone! Later, Ian and Patty could send a ransom note. They could demand a substantial amount of cash to fund their fresh start on an island somewhere.
Of course, The Young and the Restless fans know Nick and Sharon would panic. They could bond over their concern for the kids. Nick might be angry with Chelsea for leaving Christian and Faith unattended. Meanwhile, Victor could gather the money and prepare to hand it over. That’s when the plan could change.
Ian and Patty would probably want rid of bratty Faith. She might cramp their style, so they would return her. What about Christian though? Patty might determine that she wants to go back on her promise just like Sharon did. She could want to keep Christian and raise him with Ian.
Patty loves candy and kitties, but a baby could really put her on cloud nine. Ian might go along with the idea. He could decide to make Christian his protégé when he’s older. Plus, they would both get attached to the little fella.
This could spark a dangerous mission to track Ian and Patty down. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun! Would you be on board with this potential Patty and Ian mayhem?
