The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal Kate Linder has announced on social media the death of her husband of 41 years, Dr. Ronald L. Linder. The two met and fell in love while working at San Francisco State University. His death came as a shock to her and everyone who loved him, including his 3 children from a previous marriage and 9 grandchildren. It was only the day before Kate had wished him “Happy Father’s Day”.
Kate Linder, who has portrayed Esther Valentine on the CBS daytime drama series since 1982, shared with a heavy heart the passing of her dear husband. Ronald “Ron” passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017. When his death was first revealed through a tweet from Kate’s co-star, Tristan Rogers (Colin Atkinson, Y&R) (Robert Scorpio, GH); the cause was unknown; now it has been revealed he died of natural causes.

The Young and the Restless’ Esther Valentine has been on screen since the early 1980’s. She initially was not a key player on the soap opera, playing mainly the maid for Katherine Chancellor (the late-Jeanne Cooper). Esther has grown into her own, having some major story lines develop over the years, including the return of her aged and much troubled daughter, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to Genoa City.

Fans would thoroughly enjoy their onscreen reunion, as their love/hate relationship has entertained us for decades!
