The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Greg Rikaart’s (Kevin) announced departure from the cast will result in a Khloe reunion. Yes, Kevin and his recently confirmed biological daughter, Bella (Cali May Kinder) will join Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) wherever she’s relocated to. Rikaart’s write-out will be seen by viewers this August.
Rikaart’s departure from the cast hasn’t been fully confirmed as voluntary, involuntary or a mix of both. Did Y&R not renew his contract because both sides couldn’t reach an agreement on terms, or was a decision made that simply opted to write Rikaart’s character out?
It’s also possible that Rikaart is choosing to step away from the show indefinitely, but will return at an unannounced future date, regardless of what’s been publicly revealed to-date. Further information needs to be provided, or gained to verify the particulars. At this point it appears that Greg Rikaart was fired – which means TPTB at Y&R chose not to renew his contract.
Chloe returned to Genoa City last year. Delia 2.0 also came with her. As devoted viewers recall, Chloe stole a sample of Billy’s (then played by Billy Miller) DNA three years ago after she was rejected by Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) father. The audience was told by Hendrickson’s character that she was going to have herself artificially inseminated as she was departing the show (that time).
Kevin believed that he might be Bella’s father, based upon a final romantic encounter he had with Chloe before she went to a mental health facility in California. A test was conducted in one of Genoa City’s notoriously unprofessional facilities, which yielded a negative result in Kevin’s regard.
Chloe recently forwarded two letters, via Victor’s (Eric Braeden) invisible hands, to Kevin and Billy (now played by Jason Thompson). Similar contents told each man that he could be Bella’s dad. Tests were conducted and Kevin was confirmed as the father. Each man accepted the results as real because of Paul’s (Doug Davidson) oversight of both tests.
While Chloe also reassured Kevin that she was alright, she hasn’t advised him of her actual address. It stands to reason that Kevin will eventually be contacted by his almost third-time wife this summer, or he’ll use his computer skills to seek her out.
After everything Chloe did to produce another daughter and in consideration to her admission that Kevin is her soul mate, it seems probable that a full Khloe reunion will take place during the heat of August. That climax would reconnect Kevin with the woman he loves, while also reuniting this family. Plus, it would afford Rikaart a solid arc to ride out in style.
