The Young and the Restless spoilers (Y&R) tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will return to power with a vengeance, even though it’s likely that his most recent contact with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will be revealed. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will learn by June that The Moustache recruited Chloe to frame Adam (Justin Hartley) and later, bribed her to stay away from Genoa City.
The Newman clan has currently put their disliked leader in a time out chair. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) are behaving like the spoiled brats that they are, refusing to see Victor’s side. While he did behave like a rogue, he’s Nikki’s supposed soul mate and the father of Lord Nicholas and Princess Victoria.
Kevin will enter the frame when he uncovers information that proves Victor lured Chloe back to Genoa City last summer. That reckless act was intended as a lesson for Adam, but was meant to only be taken so far. Chloe opted to work off Victor’s script and intentionally withheld needed evidence that resulted in Adam’s incarceration.
Victor orchestrated Adam’s escape and proposed flight out of Wisconsin with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). That plan went tragically wrong due to Chloe’s interference. After tracking Adam’s cabin location to the outskirts of GC through a GPS device, she shot him with a tranquilizer gun, rendering him unconscious and then damaged a propane line, which caused the structure he was hiding in to explode.
Adam is believed to have died in the blast, which eventually led to Chelsea discovering Chloe’s mind-blowing role in her husband’s death. Chloe manipulated Victor once again, convincing him to help her leave town via his corporate jet. However, the Black Knight later tracked her to an unnamed location. He gave Chloe money and told her to disappear forever.
Hardcore Y&R viewers, along with other savvy fans know that the great Victor Newman likely wouldn’t have been duped twice by Chloe. But even accepting those two plot facts, a weak resolution saw Victor let Chloe escape justice again. There had to be some way for him to have her arrested, while also cleansing his complicity in her past actions, right?
However, tidbits within the last paragraph can now be used to create a solid write-out for Greg Rikaart’s character. Kevin will be seen for the last time come August. His discovery of Victor’s illegal and immoral arrangements with Chloe will enable leverage.
Just as Victor used his position of power to let Chloe escape, so too will Kevin work his leading position. He’ll exchange his knowledge of Victor’s actions for access to Chloe’s location. The Moustache will have that current information because he’ll have been keeping close tabs on the almost, third-time Mrs. Fisher.
