The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Dylan’s (Steve Burton) story isn’t over just yet. After Dylan and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) emotional goodbye, many Y&R viewers began sending messages of praise to Steve Burton. Several fans tweeted Burton that they were impressed with his final scenes.
Burton expressed his gratitude for the kind words, but insisted there’s much more in store. Of course, those might be the last scenes we’ll see between Burton and Case. That seemed like a true ending for their love story. However, The Young and the Restless still has to fill us in on Dylan’s fate.
Y&R could’ve just sent Dylan off on his open-ended mission and been done with it, but they’ve chosen to throw in a few twists and turns. The show’s certainly been giving us plenty of warning signs. There have been constant mentions of danger and concerns. Even Paul (Doug Davidson) is starting to get worried.
Dylan has landed in Miami and he’s working on nailing a ruthless criminal. There are several ways for this assignment to go horribly wrong. Sharon has been trying to stay positive, but she’s terrified deep down. She knows there’s a possibility she’ll never see her husband again.
The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Sharon will eventually get some surprising news. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is Dylan’s only contact, but Sharon has been kept out of the loop on all the details of this case. When Sharon learns Kevin has been communicating with Dylan, she’ll be angry that she wasn’t notified.
Sharon will confront Paul and Christine (Laralee Bell) in hopes of figuring out more information. She’ll probably want updates on Kevin and Dylan’s interactions. This is Sharon’s only shot at finding out anything about Dylan right now. She just wants some peace of mind during this difficult time.
Paul will point out that they’ve been trying to keep everything quiet for Dylan’s safety. If Dylan blows his cover, it lessens his chances of coming home alive. Still, there wouldn’t be any harm in letting Kevin pass along minor reports. Maybe Paul will go for that idea.
If not, Sharon will just have to wait and wonder like the rest of us. Whatever happens, it can’t be good! Anything that takes Dylan out of Sharon’s life permanently is going to leave her devastated.
