The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Medical Mystery Behind Victoria's Drastic Personality Change

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the bump on Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) head, which apparently wasn’t a concussion, appears to be connected to sporadic personality changes and ongoing zone-out’s. But is there more to the medical mystery behind Victoria’s unusual behaviour?

One day she was unusually open with Abby (Melissa Ordway) and then began blubbering on her sister’s shoulder. The next day Vickie was initiating frisky dealings with Ben Hochman (Ben Hermes). That’s abnormal, especially for this character.

No co-pay is being requested by this scribe, who’s only offering this speculative medical diagnosis in order to advance the health care debate in the United States and across the civilized world. Yes, some of us are willing to venture outside our comfort zones in order to adjust a system that needs more than fixing.

Okay, so Abby threw a drink in Vickie’s face at the Top of The Tower hours after Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) performed brilliantly on the piano. Vickie slipped backwards and hit her head, apparently hard. After a handful of unusual physical incidents relating to her vision and hearing, Vickie sought medical input.

Dr. Carlisle (Kane Lieu) gave Vickie a good bill of health. Apparently, Brash and Sassy’s health insurance deductible is low, as Y&R didn’t write Victoria’s rant about having to pay out of pocket for the visit, or resulting tests. That point could have been inserted into the script if selective politics was purposely played, as in many others instances where other chosen matters are pushed.

Of course Vickie owns the company and surely has boffo health care for herself. Ah, one of the benefits of being a Newman.

Ben was just as surprised as Y&R’s fans were when Vickie asked him to leave the Genoa City’s Athletic Club’s rooftop pool area. That striking setting is easily one of the show’s more beautiful visuals in recent years. However, Hochman might disagree and say that Vickie’s gorgeous face and great blue eyes are far more appealing.

The pair was later shown in Ben’s suite starting to drink wine. Vickie was overcome and made a move on the investor that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) directed to her earlier that day. Yes, some things move fast in the soap world.

With all cheeky references now made, let’s address the more serious issue. Was some part of Vickie’s brain somehow impacted by her fall a few weeks ago? That would seem to be the case, though Dr. Carlisle will likely need to order more tests, or refer Miss Newman to at least one specialist in order to assess what’s happening.

These developments are actually scary, which is why humor was used as a cover in this feature. All who have experienced something similar, or have had a loved one go through this process may have foolishly tried to laugh off certain changes. But head injuries are no joke. What is wrong with Victoria? Is there a creeping disease apart from her head injury behind her unusual behavior?
