The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, July 4, tease that Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) will share some startling news with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). He’ll insist that Kevin (Greg Rikaart) isn’t coming back. Chloe will wonder what Dr. Harris has done, but he’ll insist that “Maggie” doesn’t need to fret. It seems Chloe is basically morphing into Dr. Harris’ deceased daughter.
Chloe will play along as she works to gain the upper hand. She’ll quickly put on the graduation cap and gown that Dr. Harris offers. When he goes to get Maggie’s diploma from the safe, Chloe will try to create a distraction. Unfortunately, she’ll fail to retrieve the gun before Dr. Harris locks everything up again. Later, Dr. Harris will snap pics of Chloe as she gazes toward the door.
Meanwhile, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will stop to check the crackling noises under his car hood. He won’t see anything unusual, so he’ll shut the hood and get back in the vehicle. Once Kevin restarts the car, smoke will fill the air. Kevin will jump out just before the car bursts into flames. The blast will propel Kevin away from the vehicle and he’ll be left unconscious.
Back in Genoa City, the Independence Day party will be in full swing. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) will lie about their history together. Chelsea will claim that they simply know each other from a fashion event in New York. Jordan will back Chelsea up, but Hilary won’t look convinced by their story.
Nevertheless, Hilary will suggest that she’s glad that she’s putting Devon (Bryton James) behind her. Abby (Melissa Ordway) will be stunned when she gets updates on Devon and Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) relationship. She’ll tell Devon that she never would’ve pictured them as a couple. Devon will lash out at Abby for doubting their feelings for each other.
Abby will also share some tense moments with Scott (Daniel Hall) in Tuesday’s Y&R episode. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Nick’s suspicions will grow as well. He’ll worry that Scott may be trying to scam Victor (Eric Braeden) in some way. Scott will offer reassurance, but Nick will still talk to Abby about his fears. She’ll note that she knows how to handle Scott.
After Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) mentions her chat with Noah (Robert Adamson), Mariah will be on a mission. She’ll track down him down and rip into him for slowing down his romance. Mariah will contend that Tessa is a great gal and Noah needs to appreciate her. He’ll eventually find Tessa so he can smooth things over.
