The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Chelsea Take Back Johnny and Keep Christian After Nick Split?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will invoke the mommy option. Johnny’s (Holden and Ryan Hare) biological connection received a rare dialogue moment this week, while the fate of Adam’s (Justin Hartley) son Christian rests in Victor’s (Eric Braeden) vindictive mind.

Headline-only readers will be revealed, as this author and all seasoned fans know that Chelsea isn’t Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) mother, biological, or otherwise. But she is Johnny’s scientifically-linked mama.

Egan’s character entered the story in a memorable fashion in 2011. She was the grifter Victor paid to trap Billy (then played by Billy Miller) in Myanmar (still Burma in the heart of those who reject socialist coups led by Newmanesque characters). The Black Knight was making one of his many attempts to keep Billy-boy away from Victoria (Amelia Heinle). As a result Johnny was conceived.

Being soap, Billy and Chelsea later came to coexist quite nicely. In fact, Chelsea opted to donate her son to Villy, who were together at the time. Yes, that type of choice happens in real life and can be compassionate. However, in that instance, it felt like a vehicle to push the plot.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Chelsea Take Back Johnny and Keep Christian After Nick Split?

Chelsea restated this week that she didn’t feel ready to handle family life back then. The mere mention of her connection to Johnny is noteworthy. As hardcore Y&R viewers know, Chelsea has rarely mentioned her first-born child and the show itself has purposely avoided scenes where she and Johnny are in the same scene. So why now?

Meanwhile, Victor has reverted to his mean self once again. After having okay’d Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) gossip show’s airing of his family’s dirty laundry (site wink), Papa Newman is primed to expose the secret of Christian’s paternity. Chelsea is Adam’s widow and end up as the boy’s step-mommy as well. But Victor would need to extricate Nick from the picture to inflict maximum pain.

Victor would love to crush Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) soul by taking Christian away from him. The Moustache wouldn’t lose access to the boy because he’s his grandfather through Adam and Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) one-time, impulsive cavort.

If Nick is jailed, Victor could easily pay an attorney to have Adam’s widow, who is the boy’s step-mother, become his legal guardian. Of course, viewers can assume how Morrow’s character becomes incarcerated and who’s responsible for that situation.

In order for Chelsea to either get Johnny back, or spend more time with him, she’ll need Billy and Vickie’s authorization. What would bring about that status change? Well, that’s why viewers should keep watching. And here’s a hint – Vickie’s seemingly resolved concussion issue isn’t over. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
