Kate Middleton is a mystery to most people. The Duchess of Cambridge has a lot of tricks up her sleeve. She is set to become queen one day and also reportedly stated that she would take over for Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, now that he has stepped down. Here are some other unknown facts that you probably don’t know about Kate Middleton.
The public became fascinated with her when she started dating Prince William in the early 2000’s. She came from a middle-class background. She even went to college and got her degree. But, Kate Middleton took up an interest in Prince William rather than fashion. She also received criticism for her mannerisms, since she’s hard to figure out at times.
But, Kate Middleton didn’t always have her eye on Prince William. When she was a child, she had a crush on the Levi’s guy. Rumors swirled that she used to have posters of Prince William on her wall. Except those rumors aren’t true. Middleton revealed in 2010 with Bradby who she was really into. “I had the Levi’s guy on my wall, not a picture of William, sorry,” she said.
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s romance wasn’t always perfect. They broke up briefly in 2007. It was surprising at the time since everyone assumed they would have been married by then. It wasn’t long, though. The couple got back together a few months after their split. But they both made it sound like they grew apart and were broken up for quite some time.
“We were both in university, we were sort of both finding ourselves as being different characters and stuff,” Prince William said back in 2010. “It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up, and so it was just sort of space and a bit of things like that and it worked out for the better.”
“I think I at the time wasn’t very happy about it,” added Middleton. “But actually, it made me a stronger person. You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn’t realized—or I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger—and I really valued that time for me, as well, although I didn’t think it at the time.”
Kate Middleton doesn’t speak in public much. When she does, she often speaks out about mental health, hunger, or other social issues. When the Duchess did speak out, she would get slammed for her anti-feminist remarks. She was dead set on becoming a princess and Prince William’s wife.
It’s no wonder why Middleton doesn’t talk much in public. For one, she doesn’t seem to have much personality. And second, anything she might say would be held against her. The Duchess is held by very high standards. She would ruin that if she ran her mouth. That’s why Kate has a speechwriter and very rarely does interviews. The public seems to love her for that and she doesn’t seem to mind.
