Zoo begins tonight with Dariela Marzon (Alyssa Diaz) calling 9-11 to report that her and Abraham Kenyatta’s (Nonso Anozie) son, Isaac (Jesse Muhoozi) was kidnapped. She reveals that her husband, Abe has found one of the convoys and is following it. Dariela is told to check the website that shows the details of the executive order to take people’s children.

Abe breaks through the gate and is surrounded by military men as he tries to reach his son who is crying out for him. Abe is told to stand down in front of the children but he says he has come for his son and there is nothing that is going to stop him, as Dariela watches the live feed, the soldier is told he has orders to use deadly force if necessary; the convoy continues as Abe watches helplessly.

In Portland, Oregon Jackson Oz (James Wolk) hears over the radio that the government has authorized Reiden Global to quarantine children under 12; they defend it saying its similar to a military draft and consider it a civic duty. Jackson and Logan (Josh Salatin) both listen as they talk about the explosions at the precinct and refugee camp, looking for Abigail (Athena Karkanis), who happens to be Jackson’s sister.

Tessa (Hilary Jardine) is still left in the dark about who Abigail and Jackson really are as Jackson tells her that Logan found out who the bomber was. When she leaves the room, Jackson tells Logan he needs to tell her the truth but how can she make sense of it when he doesn’t even know?

Somewhere over Greenland, Clementine (Gracie Dzienny) talks to herself trying to find the right way to tell her father, Mitch Morgan (Billy Burke) that she is pregnant in a world where no one is fertile any more. As she works up the courage to tell her father; Mitch is in a private room talking to Jamie Campbell (Kristen Connolly) about Jackson and Logan.

Mitch is shocked to learn that no one knows where Jackson is, Logan is a police officer and Abe became a doctor. Clementine backs out of telling him when she sees he is overwhelmed. Mitch worries that its just the 3 of them taking on the rapidly growing hybrid population. Mitch is upset that Jamie was to take care of Clem and her grandfather was the last one he wanted raising his daughter. Jamie reveals on Clem’s 14th birthday her grandfather showed up and the next day she was served with a summons; losing all rights to Clementine.

In Ann Arbor Michigan, Jonah (Robert Lawrenson) races to Abe and Dariela’s house looking for Abraham saying it is his fault revealing he sent Abe’s research to Reiden Global. Abe demands to know why he is there but before he can explain, Abe throws him against the wall asking what kind of help he’d want from the man who slept with his wife? Dariela begs Abraham to let him go saying Jonah is here about Isaac. Abe looks in utter disbelief that Dariela would give his research to Jonah and that is why Reiden took their son.

Meanwhile on the plane, Mitch say it is not a stroke what happened to him, but it is brain related. He says he can still talk now but he needs to work quickly. He tells them they need to get into his brain; Jamie grabs a drill and Mitch says that is exactly what they need.

Abe wants to know why Jonah is there; he says he wants to help them get Isaac back. He wants his social security number and his birth date as he has a cousin working there who may be able to track him down. Dariela says she will send him the information to his phone, he promises to contact them when he has news. When he leaves, Abe walks away from Dariela saying the sample is gone but he has another idea.

Jackson’s phone buzzes with a message, Jackson uses a satellite phone but tells Abe he cannot get another sample. Jackson was hoping Isaac wasn’t one of the children and says he will be there as soon as he can. Abe tells him not to go anywhere as the Shepherd hunters are still out there; he asks him if he could get another sample, which may help solve the sterilization problem forcing Reiden to free their son. Jackson agrees to do anything to help Isaac but before he hangs up, Abe tells Jackson about the high frequency communication and maybe he can use that to attract the hybrids.

Jackson tells Logan that Abe’s son is in trouble and needs their help saying they need to hunt a hybrid. Logan says Abigail has murdered over 200 people and they need to be hunting her. Jackson says he needs his chopper and hunting skills so first they need to hunt the hybrid, as they argue Tessa walks in asking if they have a lead on Abigail and Jackson informs her there has been a change in plans.

Clementine and Jamie are told by Mitch to use the drill just until it pops and stop; when Clem is hesitant he tells her its going to be fine and when this is all over with they will have a beer. She said she had her first beer at 14 and wasn’t a fan, when he is upset it was his father, she looks at Jamie and says it wasn’t grandpa! As Mitch is about to lecture Jamie, he is unable to speak and Jamie starts drilling.

Abe doesn’t want any help from Dariela, admitting that after she had the affair he couldn’t look at her because all he saw was betrayal. He tried to focus on Isaac and see her through their boy’s eyes. He saw her as a good mother, but now that Isaac is gone he doesn’t know how to look at her again. She tells him he is going to have to try, she is persistent in helping him; he says he is also to blame because if he hadn’t gone to help Jackson, she wouldn’t have turned to Jonah. They are interrupted when Dariela’s phone vibrates and she learns they have found Isaac and arranging a transfer.

Mitch is able to guide Jamie and Clementine as they are in his brain. He begins to have flashes of what happened to him 10 years earlier. He says they cannot extract the foreign object in his brain until they land the plane and pick up the four items he needs: a car battery, commercial grade velcro, lollipops and a pig.

Abraham, Dariela and Jonah are at the meeting site and when the Reiden Global driver brings out the child, it is not Isaac. The driver scans the boy’s bracelet and says the boy is Isaac, a confused Dariela and Abe demand to know where their son is.

Jamie and Clementine return to the plane with a pig, Mitch hooks the pig up with all kind of wiring, explaining that the structure of a pig’s brain is similar to a human. By connecting the pig’s mind to his they can flash the device inside his head, making it safe for removal. He admits the lollipops are for him when this is done.

As Jamie leaves to get the sedative, Clem explains that Jamie overheard her at 14 planning a keg party in the forest; Jamie offered to host it instead, feeling it was better for her to be able to keep an eye on her. Clementine defends Jamie saying she did an amazing job raising her and so did Logan. He wonders which part of this story he’d hated more. Clem reminds him she was 12 and alone, so he doesn’t get a say in how she was raised.

Jackson, Tessa and Logan are hybrid hunting, they quickly find the hybrid they are searching for. When they can’t find a heat source, Jackson explains it could be cold blooded and the same temperature as the ground. According to their equipment the animal should be right in front of them, suddenly they feel the whole truck rumbling as Tessa worries it could be an earthquake. Out of the ground emerges a massive eagle type hybrid.

Abraham learns the boy’s name is Gus Miller, learning some woman in administration paid him to bring the kid there. Dariela asks about the place they were held in, he says it was like a cold cafeteria and when a girl cried, they took her away. Dariela shows a picture of Isaac and the boy tells them Isaac promised his parents would rescue them; and he was right.

When Jamie begins the procedure she says its Shepherd technology and the guy who created the piece, she put him behind bars. Mitch wants her to remove it but she says any tech they created was dangerous and they need to know what it does before they get it out of him and she knows who to ask. She leaves the room not answering Mitch’s questions as to where she is going.

Logan exits the vehicle and begins shooting at the creature, who chases them and turns it on its side. The massive bird creature drags the vehicle to the end of the cliff with the ocean far below. All three of them are able to escape through the back window just before the vehicle crashes down.

Abe and Dariela return Gus to his grateful parents as they fret about their own son. Jamie returns to the cage in the gut of the plane with her shocker. She wants to know what the technology does and he tells her to give him 15 minutes with the blond girl and he will tell her. She sparks up her shocker, asking him if he wants to do this the hard way. He wants access to the Shepherd server, he says if she wants to know what that bio drive does, she needs to take him up there.Logan learns the hybrid flew to Mexico; Jackson wants to know why so they check his flight path. They discover Abigail in the imagery; Jackson says they have seen the razorback hybrids and since Abigail popped up they have seen two new hybrids in 48 hours and he feels Abigail is in the center of it. Logan tells Jackson that they both know what Abigail is capable of and if Tessa is going to risk her life, she deserves to know everything.

Jamie brings the heavily chained man to the laboratory. Mitch has no idea who he is as Jamie tells him to find out what the bio drive does and if he sends out a distress call she will kill him. Mitch asks if he is in a parallel universe and if this guy is her prisoner. Jamie explains Clementine didn’t grow up in the world he hoped and all he is worried about is her first beer. She tells him everything went wrong, including the world but Clementine turned out okay.

They are told the bio drive is designed to network your thoughts into a collective consciousness but it was a failure. He tells her to release him and he will tell her why. She stabs him and learns all the test subjects died within 3 months of implant. Mitch says he was in the tank for 10 years. He has no idea who would have put the drive in Mitch’s brain as the programmers shut down 13 years ago.

Mitch asks what the Blue Diaspora is, and learns its the program that created the hybrids and says again he has no idea how the thing got into Mitch’s head. Mitch has no idea what Blue Diaspora is and that is probably why the thing is still stuck in his head.

Abe tells Gus’ parents to get out of town and head East where the protocol isn’t in place.; but as soon as they turn around to leave, they are grabbed by armed men and taken away.

Back at home, Abe suggests breaking into the facility and getting the kids; when Dariela thinks its a good idea he says they don’t have the man power. They are completely unaware of the armed men surrounding their home. In the middle of their argument they both see red dots and the door is kicked in. Leanne Ducovney (Sophina Brown) comes in the home saying they should talk.

Jackson comes to Tessa and reveals that he isn’t Dylan Green, he is Jackson Oz. She says that isn’t funny. She shows him a picture saying that is Jackson Oz and he explains he had a friend who sent out a virus that whoever searches for him would see another man’s face.

She is furious but he says he tried to stop his father and since no one believes that he moved West, changed his name and kept going. He promises the man she spent the last 3 years with is who he really is; on top of all that, she has to absorb the fact that Abigail is his sister. He pleads with her that he needs her but she slaps him and says everything they built was on a lie and walks out on him.

Mitch apologizes for his attitude but can’t help that he missed all her childhood moments with Jamie, his father and Logan admitting its hard. She wants to know why her life wasn’t all doom and gloom. He feels life went on without him and now he woke up and doesn’t know how to cope with that. She says her father was the hero who sacrificed himself for saving the world.

Mitch tells her she has to leave the room as the induction inhibitor spikes when he gets too emotional. He tells her to get out. Jamie tells him that if they remove the bio drive it will cause complete memory loss but if they leave it in, it will kill him.

Leanne tells Abe and Dariela that she found out one of their couriers was being paid to sneak a child out of the facility – a boy named Isaac Kenyatta. She assures them the Millers are fine but when she heard the name Kenyatta she recognized it, revealing she was impressed by his research. She is there to offer them a deal. She can get them Isaac back showing them a video of Isaac calling out for his father.

Abraham says he will give them any research they need in exchange for his son. She says they need to talk about Clementine Lewis. Abe and Dariela want to know what Clem has to do with this. She says Clementine is a liar and a thief. She stole intellectual property and Leanne needs it back. She tells them if they want Isaac, they need to bring her Clementine.

Mitch figured out how to put the bio drive into sleep mode and chooses to leave it in. Clementine is upset that he will die but he’d rather have that than live with no memories. He promises her they will find a way out of this but for now it has to stay in his head. Jamie agrees to patch him up as he asks Clementine to tell him everything he missed. He asks what she had to tell him earlier; she keeps it from him saying she loves him and is really happy he is back.

Jamie unplugs the pig from Mitch who begins to have more flashbacks. He recognizes where he was when they put the bio drive in his head and insists they have to go there. Jamie prepares for take-off as Clementine sits with Mitch.

In Yucatan Mexico Jackson and Logan find a house but after scoping the place they don’t see any hybrids but Logan feels Abigail might be there, so they move in slowly. Inside the house, someone watches them on a thermal camera. Jackson has his gun drawn and see Mitch standing at the window, confused that he’s alive. Mitch isn’t sure how he is there, but Clem and Jamie arrive and they all find it too coincidental as the blue hard drive begins to glow. Jackson says its the same disk the woman left in Portland. His phone rings and its Abigail who taunts him; he promises to find her and stop her. She tells him to stop worrying about her and worry about himself. The machine begins to move, Jackson shouts for everyone to get out but they see Abigail is drawing all the hybrids to their location and are moving under them. Jamie asks, “then what?”
