Demi Lovato says that she regrets blabbing the news that she was hooking up with Joe Jonas and wishes that she kept it a secret.
She revealed that she learned some important lessons from their relationship and says that their breakup was especially hard for her to take in the public eye.
She said, “I learned my lesson. It’s not very much fun when you break up in a public relationship. So, maybe next time keep it a secret. You want to say to your fans: ‘Guess what, I’m so in love with somebody.’ You want to shout it from the rooftops. That’s what you do when you fall in love.”
She has since celebrated her 18th birthday and has praised Joe for being a gentleman with his new girlfriend, Ashley Greene.
She added, “I know that he has the best intentions. Definitely most guys don’t have the same intentions that he does.”
Next time, she says, she’ll keep her mouth shut about about whoever she’s seeing. She said, “I learned my lesson. You know, I’ll go public when I marry someone one day. There are no new romances. I’m perfectly happy with being single. I feel like also if I was going to have a new romance, I’d keep it private.”
I’d do that, but it depends on who you’re dating. If I date or hook up with Alexander Skarsgard, EVERYONE is going to know it!
