Imagine the nerve of the snobs who operate the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – they have placed the Reality TV awards on a minor Creative Arts Emmy event held a week before the Primetime Emmys. And why are they doing this – because they are jealous – who is jealous you ask – well it is the actors and writers, producers and directors – the people who make their livings off “real” television – they can’t stand that Reality TV is the most popular thing going and they don’t get a piece of it.
So they are trying to shunt the awards for Reality TV to the side. Hoping this will somehow make Reality TV shows less popular – yeah right! All they achieve by doing this is to make themselves look pathetic and desperate. Face it Academy – people love RealityTV and it is here to stay – we all want to see each other and not merely to watch people pretending to be us – “acting” so to speak. Reality TV is not going away and moving the awards off of the Primetime Show is a dumb low class move. An insult in fact to the viewers who ultimately pay the bills.
