The TV Guide Network announced that The Susan Boyle Story is its most popular show ever. I guess this means at least one of the following 2 things: 1) we like to see the underdog make good; 2) we like to feel that someone not more attractive than we are can make it big – someone plain and regular looking – someone who makes it on singing talent alone, not someone done up by the corporate producers to be a pre-packaged success like Britanny Spears or Nicole Scherzinger.
