Hollywood is churning out some good movie posters as of late. A couple of days ago we got the new “Amazing Spider-Man” movie poster and now we have a gritty, dark, ominous poster for the much-anticipated movie, “The Dark Knight Rises,” Christopher Nolan‘s final installment in his trilogy of Batman films.
The poster, pictured above, definitely sets the tone for the upcoming movie. With a crushed Batman mask in the foreground and a bulked-up Bane, the film’s primary antagonist, walking off in the distance, the movie poster definitely does a good job of cultivating some excitement . . . and worry for our crime fighting Gotham hero.
After a special 7-minute screening for L.A. based journalists last week, reporters say that Bane will steal the show in much of the same way the Joker’s performance did in the previous film.
“I’ve barely started to edit, so don’t ask me about the ending,” Nolan told the audience just before the event.
