Idol Creator Simon Fuller Gets a Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

It was another exciting day in Hollywood on Monday, where American Idol creator, Simon Fuller (not to be confused with the other Simon, Simon Cowell) received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.  Over Fuller’s 25 year career, he has managed singers such as Annie Lennox, The Spice Girls and Amy Winehouse (what happened there Simon?) – to name a few.  That doesn’t include the non-musicians he’s managed such as English footy star, David Beckham, and racecar driver Lewis Hamilton.

Upon seeing his star Fuller admitted, “Whenever I see that star, I won’t see my name, I’ll see all names of the people I’ve worked (with) and all those amazing artists and people that have helped me achieve this stuff.”

Several of Hollywood’s familiar faces joined their friend; those there to lend support and be present for the unveiling was long time friend Victoria Beckham, Idol judges Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson, Carrie Underwood, and Kelly Clarkson.

Fuller and Cowell brought American Idol to Fox after it began as Pop Idol in Britain in 2001.  The popular format has since been sold to ‘more than 120 other countries and has created a multi-billion dollar global recording, TV and merchandising franchise’, according to Reuters.

Hmmm, so I guess the guy really does deserver a star…. especially if he’s in with Posh and Becks…
