I was just waiting for Jon Gosselin, Kate’s ex, to slowly emerge from the dark shadows he’s been lingering in to comment on the cancellation of the once-popular reality series, Kate Plus 8. And surprise, surprise, Mr. Gosselin isn’t shedding any tears over the show’s cancellation, saying he’s “very relieved” that his children won’t have to be subjected to that kind of life anymore.
Jon explains further:
“I hope they can have more private family moments. I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future.”
Perhaps this time away from the cameras will be good for the Gosselin family to take a breather and continue to get their life in order. Even though the cameras surrounded the children nearly 24 hours a day, do any of you who actually watched the show feel as if they truly disrupted their lives? To them, it was just normal. They grew up around cameras; really, they knew nothing different. It will be interesting to see how they all continue with their lives.
Even though this show has been cancelled . . . fast forward 10-15 years in the future and I’m sure we’ll be seeing another reality show featuring the children. Only this time . . . it’ll be on E! The Kardashians will be distant memories and the Gosselins will claim their Celeb power once again.
