Lindsay Lohan is facing some jail time for parole violation when she faces Judge Stephanie Sautner this morning and predictions are that the sentence will exceed 2 weeks.
Of course Lindsay is expected to actually serve only 20% of the sentence as is customary for non-felons. Furthermore, because she is a celebrity she will not be placed in general population but will enjoy her own private cell.
Lindsay is expected to concede that she violated probation when she got thrown out of the Downtown Women’s Center where she was supposed to do her community service.
Consequently there is no need for a formal hearing with witnesses and testimony. Of course Lindsay’s Lawyer, Shawn Holley, will try to convince the judge to keep her punishment as minor as possible because Lindsay is now on the right track.
I still say that Lindsay Lohan presents no danger to society and therefore does not belong in jail – giving her a stiff fine instead would make more sense. Lindsay might be an obnoxious brat – she might be a little bit crazy – but in any case that she does not mean she belongs in jail.
