Lindsay Lohan’s monitoring bracelet went off! But, before you jump to any conclusions or imagine a frazzled LiLo attempting to sprint across the busy streets of downtown L.A. in search of freedom, you should know that it was all just a false alarm. Yep, false alarm.
The bracelet went off, alerting authorities, sometime Monday. Apparently, Lindsay was just resting on the couch reading over scripts for possible future projects when the bracelet decided to conk out and malfunction.
“Lindsay’s electronic monitoring system went off on Monday,” Shawn Chapman Holley, Lilo’s attorney, said earlier today. “When a representative from the monitoring company went to her home, the representative found Lindsay there. The equipment was replaced the following day.“
Hey, law enforcement/technology people who supply dysfunctional bracelets, please stop terrifying LiLo. This is a fragile time in her life. House arrest–especially in a glitzy townhouse surrounded by sweet Southern California air–can be stressful!
Lindsay will serve approximately thirty-five days of house arrest, where she can only leave the “interior grounds” of her home to attend medical appointments and probation hearings.
