Matthew McConaughey gave his longtime girlfriend and the mother of his two kids, Camila Alves, a very special Christmas present this year: an engagement ring!
“Just asked Camila to marry me, #MerryChristmas,” the 42-year-old actor Tweeted on Sunday, along with a photo of him smooching a smiling Camila, 29.
According to Celebitchy.com, the engagement comes as a bit of a surprise, especially since Matthew told an interviewer earlier this year that marriage was not something he feel he and Camila needed to do to “be complete.”
Still, considering that he and Camila, a TV host, have been together since 2006 and have two preschool age children together, it seems like they may have just been waiting for the right time! This will be their first marriage for both of them.
Anyway, our congrats to the happy couple! We’re guessing they might opt for beautiful beach wedding, especially since Matthew just loves being shirtless.
