Media Company Attempts To Trademark Casey Anthony's Name

A company by the name of Grant Media tried to file a trademark application to get the rights to Murder Mom Casey Anthony’s name!

Casey was acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee on July 5th and just five days later, Grant Media was trying to trademark her infamous name — for “entertainment purposes”.

The Trademark office rejected their application, claiming that they couldn’t prove that they had any affiliation with Casey.

The Trademark office stated, “Anthony is not connected with the services sold by the applicant under the mark. Moreover, due to her fame, purchasers would presume a connection between Casey Anthony and the entertainment services.”

Casey’s lawyers are ready for a lawsuit if anyone tries to profit off of her name. But, we are kind of curious what type of entertainment services the company would have provided using her name. Aren’t you?

Let’s just hope that she stays quiet for the rest of her days and doesn’t make any blood money for what she was acquitted of. What do you think? Will she end up writing a book before it’s all said and done? Sound off in the comments and let us know what you think!
