Gavin Degraw Dancing With The Stars Samba Performance Video 4/1

Gavin Degraw danced the Samba tonight as Dancing With The Stars continued with its fifth episode.  The theme for this week’s episode is “Latin Week’ and this is always one of my favorite episodes.  Latin Week returns as Carlos Santana takes over the ballroom with performances of some of his classic hits throughout the evening. We recapped the tonight’s show for you and if you want to see how all the couples did go HERE!  Did you see Gavin’s performance last week if you missed it you can see it here!

Gavin Degraw and professional dancer Karina Smirnoff, dancing the Samba –  The couple has this to say about tonight’s performance: “He’s going to be very colorful, showing some skin, embracing the Caribbean lifestyle.” “I think that Karina wants me to dress up like a tropical bird,” Gavin said, “and I’m going to try to avoid that as much as possible.” But he’s definitely going to have to get a George Hamilton tan, she said.

Judges Comments: Bruno: I don’t know whether to laugh or cry – get back to the the boat. Are you suffering from tropical fever somewhere between bad and delirious. With all the madness I actually enjoyed it. I actually enjoyed it really. Carrie Ann: I like the way you just go for it. I have to tell you are lacking a little bit of form. It was hard to kind of tell what it was. It was more of a struggle then a samba. But I love that you tried it and that you are so joyful all the way through. Len: Well to be honest with you, Gavin it was more of a shamba than a samba. But I’ve got to say [crowd boos] bring it on I can take it everybody’s booing Len. This is a hard dance and it was a gallant effort well done to you

Scores:  Carrie Ann – 6  Len -6  – Bruno – 7 – Total 19/30
