Emily Maynard Broke Up With Jef Holm Over Dancing With the Stars

Jeweler to the stars Neil Lane has found himself holding two of the beautiful engagement rings he created for ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Rings the celebrity jeweler made for Bachelor Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson and Bachelorette Emily Maynard and Jef Holm’s have since been returned after both couples dissolved. And while America may be used to reality showmances coming and going, Maynard was surprised by the news that Holm was, according to Us Weekly, considering “the idea of a tell-all to magazines about their break up”.

The news of the recent break up was actual news to Maynard who apparently “had no idea” it was coming. It would seem that single mother, Maynard was hoping she had found love with Holm, but he, like many reality stars before him, wanted fame more than love. Holm’s love of the spotlight was the catalyst for their break up, a situation possible foreshadowed by their looking for true love on national television.

According to OK Magazine, Holm pushed Maynard for frequent public appearances because Holm is of the “pics or it didn’t happen” school of thought. As an obvious dreamer of dreams Holm “wanted to do more publicity things. He wanted to on Dancing With the Stars.” Maynard, however, was not on board for the Maynard/Holm travelling show.

The North Carolina sweetheart was not proud to return the 2.5-carat emerald-cut diamond ring, but rules are rules and if they reality couples don’t survive the gorgeous rings go back to jeweler Neil Lane. This isn’t the first ring fitted for Maynard that has been returned. After her split from Bachelor Brad Womack last summer, Maynard returned her first Neil Lane original, a 3 karat symbol of another failed showmance.

A word of warning next time Ms. Maynard, maybe try eharmony? Even OkCupid has to have better results than this.
