While many celebrities have stripped down to bathing suits for the cover of Shape Magazine, Private Practice actress Kate Walsh decided to bare all for the March issue!
Reportedly, the 44-year-old actress was “terrified” about posing nude for the magazine, although thanks to some strategic placing of her arms and legs, the photo remains PG-rated and doesn’t enter Playboy territory.
“I’m enjoying my 40s and wanted to share that,” Kate told WWD about wanting to do the clothing-less photo shoot.
Inside the magazine, Kate refers to herself as a “sassy redhead” and share some of her beauty tips:
“I highlighted [my hair] to keep it blonde for a long time. And let me tell you, I got so much more attention from men,” she revealed. “I felt like an imposter before. I’m stronger and sassier as a redhead. It’s much more me.”
And while many celebrities have gone naked for magazines like W and Vanity Fair, the editors of Shape were reportedly thrilled, as they have always wanted to do a naked cover but hadn’t been successful at convincing any celebrities to go for it.
“She has an amazing figure. She definitely works hard for it,” said Shape‘s editor-in-chief, Tara Kraft. More: Kate Walsh At The 59th Annual Emmy Awards
However, Kate admitted that her decision to go nude could be chalked up to a mid-life crisis.
“I do drive a Porsche, so maybe it is,” she joked.
