Rosie O’Donnell has never been one to mince words or back away from a celebrity feud but this time she has found a more formidable opponent. And no, I’m not talking about Rosie and Donald Trump Round 100 or another pathetic Lindsay Lohan beat down. Rosie is picking on Bravo It girl, Bethenny Frankel, and the gloves are coming off!
It seems Rosie’s wounds over her failed talk show on Oprah’s OWN network are still open and smarting and she just can’t stand the fact that everything’s turning up rosy (pun intended) for Bethenny’s first foray into daytime television. The National Enquirer reports:
“Rosie’s got a real bee in her bonnet about Bethenny,” a source told the ENQUIRER.
“Having seen Bethenny’s new talk show, she now thinks it’s just a carbon copy of her recently canceled OWN program – and she believes Bethenny stole her idea!” the source said 50-year-old
Rosie is so jealous of the former “Real Housewives of New York” spitfire, she’s telling people that the only reason Bethenny’s talk show is successful is because Ellen DeGeneres is one of the producers, NOT because the host has any talent.
“Rosie just doesn’t understand why people like Bethenny,” added the source.
First things first when dealing with an Enquirer story – do I believe it? I think so, though I doubt it’s as sensational as it’s letting on. The media always likes to depict Rosie as this big, hulking angry lesbian who’s bitter over other people’s success. I’m sure she is a little jealous. How could she not be? Rosie is the old Queen of daytime. Her show made her a household name and so many millions that she can sit around all day for the rest of her life painting and tweeting her haikus to her heart’s delight. I gave her show on OWN a shot. I watched a few episodes because I love me some Rosie… but it totally disappointed. Actually, it sucked. From the sets to the lighting to the jokes, it all fell flat. I actually felt uncomfortable watching it.
But I’ll be honest, I haven’t watched Bethenny’s show at all yet but I hear people like it and she’s gotten some pretty good guests so far. Clearly, Rosie’s comment that Bethenny’s show is only successful because Ellen’s producing it is a dig at Bethenny AND Oprah. Rosie was pretty p-ssed when the Big O gave her the walking papers. But would Rosie act this jealous and rude? She may stick her foot in her mouth a lot but she’s never been one to put down someone who works hard for their success. Say what you want about Bethenny but you can’t deny she’s busted her ass for everything she has. But if she thinks Bethenny ripped her off then you know she’s going to keep b-tching about it. Do you think Bethenny will respond? She wants the ratings and knows controversy gets them. She probably would welcome this little feud!
