Ben Affleck has nothing but nice things to say about his wife like how she’s a great mother and he fell in love with her right from the beginning. All very sweet and would have been much more believable say last year at the Oscars during his thank you speech. Now it feels like pieces of scrapes thrown to the dog so that the mutt won’t wander into the yard of someone else. Jennifer Garner is no one’s dog. During that long period of his making nothing other than flops she was the breadwinner. As for how they met, their movie was horrible yet she walked away with a sequel in the deal. He on the other hand recalls bad memories any time he puts on something leather.
Ben credited her in a interview for Playboy as being the one to tell him to take the harder but better roles. “My wife was definitely around then,” says Affleck. “Getting to know her, falling in love with her and being connected with her gave me a foundation to reach out and say, ‘Okay, I’m going to do Hollywoodland. I’m going to direct Gone Baby Gone,’ “ Affleck said. “Those were the steps forward I needed to put positive stuff on the board.”(People.com).
Ben was willing to rearrange his whole life as they were growing closer. You know during the time she was still married to Scott Foley and he was worshiping Jennifer Lopez‘s behind in a music video. Wonder why his fiancee wasn’t credited in any way as, and I’m just guessing here, raising his profile, but I guess Ben must have a natural tack for discounting the women in his life. No matter, moving on to things that actually matter to Ben. Such as his career which has always been in the forefront for him.
Nearly a year after calling his marriage work; Ben is all gushy. I have no choice. I’m going to be the one to ask: Does this have anything to do with people being angry about ‘Superman Vs. Batman’? Does he think he can play nice and then he’ll suddenly be a great batman. Sorry that interview doesn’t count. Women aren’t going to pick up Playboy willy nilly and the people that do pick it up won’t be doing it for the articles.
