As the Kate Middleton and Prince William (and the nation/world) await the birth of their first child, The Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted making last-minute appointments and doing some extra furniture shopping before her due date, and that includes making sure she looks her best for the big day. After a doctor’s appointment in London, Middleton stopped by St. George Street for a new haircut and color at Rossano Ferretti Hair Spa.
The Duchess has been buying furniture for her and husband Prince William’s new 21-room Kensington Palace residence which they will move into as soon as their bundle of joy arrives. She was spotted looking at floral print fabric at Colefax and Flower in London.
US Weekly also reports that in case Middleton delivers early, she is currently staying near her husband in their Anglesey, Wales home. It may be far from her London doctor, but the couple has emergency birth plans already laid out, including a helicopter on-call for a possible early delivery.
Kate is also keeping busy with prenatal yoga, according to the Daily Mail. Yoga is believed to help maintain physical and mental strength, and may help cope during labor, the Daily Mail said.
William and Kate have made it clear that they plan to bring up their baby on their own terms, dispensing with some of the traditions that were upheld by previous royal generations. They will have their pick of babysitters, with Auntie Pippa and Uncles Harry and James all living close to Kensington Palace. Harry will come in especially handy for he only lives a few doors down. Duchess Catherine your mother, Carole, and sister, Pippa needs to stay close by and be ready for this royal baby.
