Official reports confirm that Scott Disick‘s mother, Bonnie Disick, has died at age 63. The official cause of death hasn’t been reported, but it’s likely that it was a surprise considering she was still relatively young and previous reports of health issues hadn’t been reported.
Bonnie reportedly died sometime last week, and that would definitely explain why Scott and Kourtney Kardashian passed up Kris Jenner‘s birthday to go to New York City. Bonnie was probably frail for a few days before her death, and it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that Scott and Kourtney went to NYC to spend some time with her.
The intimate funeral [which reportedly only had a few people in attendance] was held in Long Island the other day, with both Scott and Kourtney present. Long Island was where Scott grew up as a single child, with Bonnie and husband Jeff Disick raising him.
While Bonnie’s largely elected to stay out of the limelight [unlike her son and his new family], she did once appear in an episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York in 2011, making a brief guest visit in one of the episodes. I’m guessing her death has hit Scott pretty hard, and I doubt we’ll be seeing much of him or Kourtney in the public eye for the next few months.
