Angelina Jolie is about to have one final preventative surgery, which entails removing her ovaries, a procedure known as an oophorectomy. It’s a difficult and time-consuming surgery, which is probably why Angelina’s been putting it off to take care of her work commitments first. Angie’s mom, Marcheline Bertrand, died of ovarian cancer so as part of her cancer prevention plan Angie must have the operation. However, once she goes through with the surgery, she will no longer be able to biologically reproduce on her own. While Angelina can still adopt [and probably will], a new report from Star Magazine suggests that she has promised hubby Brad Pitt that she’ll ‘freeze her eggs‘ so they can have more kids in the future should they choose to.
A source tells Star, “Angie knows Brad wants more children, so she’s decided to freeze her eggs before the procedure so that they can add to the family in time. She’s amazing to muster the strength to face yet another major medical procedure and still plan for another baby.”
Neither Angelina nor Brad have made their desire for more children public, even though I’m sure they will eventually end up adding to their brood. However, if they do have more kids, they’ll probably end up adopting. They already have six children, I don’t think they’re that desperate for more. Plus, Brad’s already crossed 50 and Angelina’s nearing her forties – they’re getting older and although they often give off the appearance and image of a super-couple, they too have their limitations. I don’t think they want to raise so many children that they’re not able to provide individual attention to all their kids, and I think they have their hands full with their current pack of kids.
