Whoever thought Dancing with the Stars would ever be embroiled in a drug scandal? The National Enquirer has reported that there is a current investigation into an alleged drug ring that has been going on behind the scenes of the hit ABC show. And it doesn’t seem anyone will be safe from the probe, and what is exposed as a result.
Reportedly, a top producer on the show has been supplying the cast with their drugs of choice, and the whistleblower who went to the Los Angeles Police Department’s narcotics unit has the text messages to back up his/her claims. Once it was reported, LAPD launched an investigation, and their findings will likely devastate the show and the cast. The National Enquirer confirmed the text messages include the names of two of the show’s professional dancers. One dancer texted the producer seeking drugs to be delivered to the rehearsal studio, “Hey babe! Can I get some nose candy from you? Need it tomorrow if possible,” and another from the same dancer, “Need it by 7pm at mccadden [sic] if possible.”
The producer/supplier in question texted a dancer, “I got moon rocks, it’s the highest form of Molly.” The texts were dates as far back as December 2013, and others as recent as earlier this year. While an LAPD source confirmed to the investigation to The Enquirer, there have yet to be any arrests. The DWTS reps have not released an official comment as they have stated that they haven’t yet been notified of an investigation by LAPD. It is about to go down, folks!
