Ellen DeGeneres Divorce Update: Portia de Rossi Was Driven To Drink By Cheating and Controlling Behavior - Tell All Book

Ellen DeGeneres allegedly has another side that she keeps hidden from the camera at all costs. However, this side comes into play with her wife, Portia de Rossi, and it’s led to some blowout fights between them.

We all think of Ellen as the friendly and affable talk show host, don’t we? Well, a new tell-all book from celebrity journalist Randy Jernigan titled The Life and Career of Ellen DeGeneres is going in-depth into Ellen’s relationships and private life. We’ve already covered previous excerpts from Randy’s book that reveal that Portia is extremely insecure, and how her insecurity reportedly led to her rehab visit earlier this year.

However, several new excerpts reveal more shocking details about Ellen and her marriage. Randy claims that both Ellen and Portia have always had a ‘tumultuous marriage’, and both of them have cheated on each other in the past. He also claims that Ellen has battled depression and mood swings in the past, which has led her to become extremely controlling of Portia and those close to her. Not only that, but she reportedly drinks whenever she feels pressured or upset over her marriage or career. Portia, on the other hand, deals with all of her issues by drinking and taking pills, which may have led to the rehab visit.

Of course, we’ve heard recently that Ellen has now quit drinking to support her wife in her sobriety, but we’ll have to see how long that lasts. All of the little details that Randy’s been dropping have been said before in previous reports, but a source tells the National Enquirer that Ellen doesn’t want them all consolidated into one book. The source explains, “She doesn’t want anything to go wrong with the fall launch of her new lifestyle brand, E.D. Hundreds of millions of dollars are riding on it!”

Yes, because people read random tell-all books from unknown celebrity journalists. Whether Randy’s allegations are accurate or not, most of the general public won’t hear of this book. Plus, if Ellen really thinks she has a case, she can easily sue for libel and get the publication shut down. The fact that she nor Portia have released anything slamming the book says quite a lot about its contents.
