Keeping Up With The Kardashians was pretty uneventful last night aside from the typical Kardashian and Jenner drama, however Kourtney Kardashian did drop a bomb on KUWTK viewers. Kourtney and her sister Khloe Kardashian were rummaging through an old box of photos and letters from when their Dad was high-school. Then Kourtney said, “Oh, look Khloe, here’s a card from your Dad,” and then she proceeded to read a letter from OJ Simpson.
What?! Did Kourtney Kardashian just confirm on national television that OJ Simpson was Khloe Kardashian’s Dad? Khloe laughed it off, and joked that she was going to take a photo of the card from OJ Simpson and post it on Instagram.
We all know that the Kardashians basically script their own reality TV series, and nothing is going to be aired that they haven’t all bickered over and approved. So, what exactly was the purpose of that super awkward scene? If the Kardashian sisters were hoping to shoot down rumors of OJ Simpson being the father of Khloe Kardashian, then their plan backfired. If anything all they did was remind us that Khloe very easily could be the daughter of OJ Simpson, and Kourtney’s poor acting, and sarcastic nature, made the “joke” very awkward.
If anything, the bizarre “OJ Is My Dad” scene just made the rumor even more believable. If it just a rumor, why did the Kardashian family feel the need to address it on their reality TV show? Why not just ignore it, like they supposedly do all of the other tabloid rumors? Then again, there is always the possibility Kris Jenner set the entire conversation up knowing that the internet would be buzzing about it the next day, in hopes of saving her family’s TV show from getting axed.
