L’Wren Scott may not have been a household name but she was extremely well known in the fashion world. She also had dated Mick Jagger since 2001. I say had, because Scott was founding hanging from a scarf in her Chelsea apartment by an assistant in NYC this morning. According to The New York Post it appears that the model turned designer left behind no suicide note either.
Scott began designing costumes for films back in the 90’s and launched her own Little Black Dress line in 2006. She has dressed everyone from Julia Roberts and Sarah Jessica Parker to Michelle Obama and Reese Witherspoon. She has also collaborated with powerhouse companies such as Lancome and Banana Republic. In other words, business appeared to be booming for Scott. She did apparently suffer a bit of a business setback last year when her London show had to be delayed. Could there have been more trouble than that and she just managed to keep things under wraps really well?
Mick Jagger is currently on tour in Australia and is said to be shocked and devastated by L’Wren’s suicide. The last time that the couple was photographed was last November enjoying lunch in NYC. Obviously something absolutely crushing happened to cause Scott to take such permanent action. We have no clues just yet but do you think that business perhaps wasn’t as good as it seemed?
