Survivor: Cagayan RECAP 5/7/14: Season 28 Episode 11 “Havoc to Wreak”

Tonight on CBS their Emmy Award-winning series SURVIVOR returns with a new episode called, “Havoc to Wreak.” The castaways try to crack a code to earn a spot in the final five; one player’s paranoia threatens another person’s stake in the game; Tony’s closest confidant is wooed by another alliance.

On last week’s episode the castaway’s bidding strategy at the Survivor auction could have paid off for them. Meanwhile, castaways drew rocks for a huge advantage in the game, and another castaway decided to show off his idol in an attempt to ensure his safety. Rumour has it that Kass was going to be in a power position again and did some backstabbing last week.  At tribal council Jeff called for the vote and Kass went first. She voted for Spencer and said she already saved him once and wasn’t doing it again.  The others went to vote and we saw that Spencer voted for Jefra. Tony came back last and Jeff went to tally the votes. He came back and called for hidden immunity idols. No one moved and Jeff read the votes. It was Spencer, Jefra, Spencer, Jefra, Spencer, Jefra and that tied it 3-3. Jeff said the eleventh person voted out was Jefra. Night 30 at camp. Kass is pissed off about Jefra’s blindside. She blames Tony for running #Survivor. Trish seems okay and says she knows Jefra herself was planning a blindside. Kass calls Tony a hothead and he says he had to do it. Kass tells him that Tasha and Spencer also want him out. Kass tells him she doesn’t like the way he’s acting and calls it old. She says he’s being condescending and is a jerk.

Spencer says the dynamic is changing because Kass and Tony are at each other’s throats. Kass thinks she’s done with Tony because of his attitude and secrecy. Next morning, Spencer asks Tony how many times he’s been shot at and he says three. He asks if he’s nervous on duty and Tony says it’s adrenaline not fear. Spencer thinks Tony is lying to everyone all the time and is good at it.

Tony wonders if Kass isn’t feeling well since she’s not up. She and Tasha whisper in bed about Tony talking about her. They ask Trish if she’s awake. Tony says the motto is believe nothing you hear and half of what you see. Kass says Tony is calling her a bitch and tells the other girls he’s getting stupider by the day. She says his trash talking is so bold that she hates him.

Tony asks why she slept in and she tells him she heard everything he said about her. She gets confrontational and the guys said they weren’t talking about her and she says she heard Tony trashing her. Spencer says it’s funny because Tony actually wasn’t talking about her and for once is telling the truth but he wants them to fight, so he doesn’t step in to clear it up.

Tony is shocked that Kass went off on him and says he doesn’t know or care what her problem is. He tells her they were just talking cop stuff. Kass thinks his blindsides are a red flag that he will do anything to anyone. She calls his followers cult members and says she wants to kill the cult leader.

Tony eats coconut and stresses. He says he doesn’t like tension around camp and comes back to her and asks if she really thinks he was talking about her. She tells him she confirmed it with the others and says he’s lying. Tony walks away but then she keeps nagging and he comes back and shouts at her. She tells him everything out of his mouth as a lie and he’s too deep into his own lies.

He tells her she’s making no sense and she tells him not to talk to her anymore. She thinks he’s at his breaking point and his worst is coming out. She thinks he’s an idiot. Tony rants to Trish about Kass and she advises him to let it go. He says he’s done and it’s good but then doesn’t stop. He says she’s a nut job. Tasha says she doesn’t know what Tony said but Kass is so sure that she can’t be convinced.

Tasha is happy that the focus is off her. Tony tells Kass she’s acting like a four year old and she says he’s the one having a tantrum and is self-destructing. He asks if she’ll vote him out and she says she will write his name down. She tells him to play his idol and he says if she writes his name down, he’s going home. He tells them he has the special idol and that she’ll go home.

Kass prods and tells him to show it to them. She thinks he’s lying because he won’t show it to them. They bounce threats back and forth and then he tells Tasha and Spencer they have just moved up another notch. It’s time for the reward challenge. Jeff says they will be split into two teams and throw sandbags at a wall then race to rebuild the wall.

Jeff says the winners will go to a local elementary school to bring school supplies to the kids and the school. They will also bring along burgers and hotdogs for them and the kids to enjoy. They draw for teams. It’s Woo, Spencer and Kass versus Tasha, Trish and Tony. They start. They each take turns throwing sandbags.

Tony scores first with a couple of blocks knocked off. The other team is having less luck but then Spencer and Kass knock down a huge chunk of their wall. They are neck and neck and then Kass, Spencer and Woo take the lead. The teams now start rebuilding their wall. Spencer is building for his team and Tasha is building for his.

It’s former brain versus brain. Kass and Woo coach Spencer who has fallen behind. Tasha is pulling ahead and Spencer starts to panic. Tony coaches Tasha. Kass coaches Spencer. Jeff comments that one day you’re arguing, the next day you’re working together. Tasha is a building machine but then falters. Spencer is gaining on her. Tasha has a missing piece she can’t locate and she’s panicking a little.

Spencer and Kass work steadily together and momentum has shifted. Spencer slides the last piece in and their team wins reward. They hug it out. Trish tells Tony she wanted the reward so bad. Jeff tells them they will be changing lives today delivering school supplies. He tells them to head out and enjoy their afternoon. He sends the three losers back to camp.

Woo is pleased to be giving back to the Phillipino community. They hand out book bags to the eager kids. Woo says it’s humbling to be there and it’s a memory he’ll keep for the rest of his life. Woo breaks out a basketball and starts doing tricks. The kids are thrilled. Spencer says he doesn’t really like kids and it was overwhelming with the little monsters swarming here but he says he was surprised how positive it was.

Woo does a martial arts demonstration and calls Spencer up to assist. He does a back flip and then some kicks and then breaks into basketball tricks. Kass says this is the most he’s spoken in 31 days talking with and performing for the kids. She says she likes him even more now. Kass says she hasn’t even thought about the game in two hours but is ready to talk strategy with them.

Kass tells them she was pleased it’s the three of them and says they need to flush Tony’s idol. She says two of them should vote Tony and two to Trish. Kass says she and Spencer have a common enemy and hatred bonds people. Spencer says Tasha will be with this. He thinks it is the better move to take out Tony because if he has two idols, it’s huge.

Woo questions whether they should take Tasha out first but Kass says they really need to flush the idol. Spencer says he would be happy to go to the final three with them and Woo agrees that now is the time to make a move. Spencer worries because he’s not sure Woo is committed. Kass presses him and Spencer tells him to be straight with them but he only says he’ll consider it.

Woo thinks they all need to look out for themselves. He’s concerned about going against Tony but knows he needs to think about himself. He thinks making a move against Tony is big but wants to consider it. They come back to camp and Woo finally tells them he’s in. Kass is pleased and Woo tells them he won’t disclose anything they talked about and Spencer says he will only tell Tasha.

They get back to camp and tell the group how awesome Woo was with the kids. Spencer pulls Tasha aside and tells her about splitting the vote between Tony and Trish to try and flush his idol. Spencer says that way Tony will go this week or next. She asks if he trusts Woo and he says he’s not absolutely sure. Trish tells Tony she wonders if they got Woo to blindside them and Tony says he’ll talk to him.

Woo walks up and Tony calls him karate kid. Tony asks who’s talking and he says Kass and Spencer are ready to vote for Tasha. He asks what Spencer is saying and he says nothing. Tony asks if Spencer said anything about him or his idol and says he figured they would be asking Woo to join them to flush the idol. Tony says it doesn’t make sense for Spencer to go after Tasha and doesn’t believe Woo.

Jeff welcomes the Survivors to the #ImmunityChallenge. He asks if they’re ready and he takes back the necklace from Tasha for the first time. He tells her if she takes it for a fourth time, she’ll tie Kelly Wigglesworth. They have to run out and count items in order to unlock a combination lock. It’s a bunch of numbers to try and remember.

They head off and Spencer falls. There are six stations to count. There are balls, crabs, baskets and other items. They run back and put in their numbers. Trish and Woo are last back. Jeff asks how many numbers they can remember at once. Spencer is the first to head back to recount followed by Trish and Woo. Kass takes her time the first time and enters her numbers. Spencer flies back. Kass doesn’t have it.

Spencer, Tash and Tony are back. Tony doesn’t have it, neither do Spencer or Tasha. Woo runs back again and spins his lock. He tries but it’s wrong. Trish is back. She is wrong. All of the Survivors are recounting. The crabs are moving, the stack of rocks is large. Spencer and Woo miss again. Trish is wrong again and so are Kass and Tasha. Tony is frustrated.

It’s going on and on. After 25 minutes, Tasha comes back followed by Kass and Tony. Tony is wrong again. Tasha spins hers but is wrong and Spencer wins it. He collapses to the sand in relief. Jeff tells Tasha it was the bamboo she was off on and then he calls Spencer over to get the immunity necklace. He tells them that someone is going home tonight and he’ll see them at tribal.

Back at camp they talk about how hard everyone worked at the challenge. Tony asks why Tasha and Spencer aren’t sharing immunity wins. Spencer talks to Woo and Tasha and they talk about the boys voting for Tony and Tasha and Kass vote Trish. Spencer says he doesn’t think that Tony has the special idol and Woo says that Tony is going to freak out. They agree that this move is the best for all of their games.

Tasha hopes that Woo will stick with them and she plans to put on an act like she’s going home tonight. Tony tells Tasha it will likely be her tonight and she says she’s just glad to have made it 33 days. Tony says she’s too comfortable. He’s freaking out. He thinks something is up because she’s not scrambling for votes. He talks to Spencer, Woo and Trish and says he thinks she may have an idol. Tony tells them he will have to play his idol.

They ask him if he has the special idol and he gets vague. For now he’s planning on playing the special idol after the vote if he’s voted for. Kass and Tasha talk and they seem confident in their plan. They talk about how Tony is like Russell Hantz, is a bully and is running the alliance from fear. They say he’s like Jersey style Russell.

Kass wonders if he would make it to the end and be hated enough to not get voted for. She goes to talk to Woo and asks if he’s sticking with the plan. He says he doesn’t know. He asks her about taking out Tasha and he thinks she’s being insane. Kass is so infuriating. It’s time for #TribalCouncil and the Survivors come in and take seats.

The jury comes in – Sarah, Morgan, LJ, Jeremiah and Jefra who does not look amused. Jeff asks how Tasha feels about being there without the immunity necklace. She says Tony is talking big about having two immunity idols and that she hopes people will recognize what a threat he is. Tony perks up and says her not being worried makes him worried so he brought his bag of tricks.

Tasha says that Tony is the bigger threat and put all those people on the jury there and they should see that. Tony says that Tasha and Spencer have been planting seeds about him but his alliance is all about loyalty and trust. Jeff asks Kass if Tony is being honest and she says he’s being disingenuous. Jeff says it’s an obvious vote to flush and idol but Tony says he could use to protect the alliance.

Trish defends Tony and says he promised them that. Woo says it is important to flush it because it could mean you sitting in the finals or in the jury. Spencer says Tony does a blindside and then gets his alliance to come back to him despite his betrayal. He says he’s interested to see what’s in Tony’s bag of tricks. Woo says they have made agreements and that’s how the vote will go.

Tony says he hopes the four stick together and Tasha goes home. Kass says you have to wonder who would vote for you in the finals versus how to get there. Kass says tonight might be a blindside and Tasha says that’s what she’s hoping for. Jeff calls for the vote. Tony votes for Tasha. Spencer votes Tony. Tasha votes Trish and says better her than Tasha. We don’t see any other votes.

Jeff goes to tally the votes. He comes back and calls for immunity idols. Tony doesn’t play his. Jeff reads the votes – Tasha, Tony, Trish, Tasha, Tasha. She’s voted out. What is wrong with these people? They’re just going to let Tony walk away with this. Jeff tells Spencer it looks like he’s on the outside again and he nods his head in agreement.

Tasha says to make it as far as she has is amazing considering the rocky start. She says she knows she got voted out because she’s strong in immunity challenges. She says they were smart to vote her out.
