The Arsenio Hall Show Canceled After Just One Season: Didn't Draw In Enough Viewers!

The Arsenio Hall Show seemed to be going pretty well — so well, in fact, that the network had renewed it for a second season. Now, network executives are saying that the show will not be returning for a second season, which has many fans disappointed. Apparently, the show simply didn’t build up a big enough viewership to keep the ship afloat for another season. CBS Television Distribution released the information on Friday.

The company said in a statement, “Unfortunately, The Arsenio Hall Show will not return for a second season; while there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue. Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we’d like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show.”

The host had some of his owns words to add: “I’m gratified for the year we’ve had and proud of the show we created. I’d like to thank everyone on my staff for rallying around me and striving to make the best show possible every night.”

What do you think about the The Arsenio Hall Show getting canceled? Are you sad? Would you have liked to see CBS stick to their original plan to renew the show for a season 2? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below!

His last stint on television (this time around was a reboot) ended in 1994.
