The other kids still don’t know about Brandon. So to them it was like Dani was there for one second and quickly gone the next which of course leave them curious. Who wouldn’t be? But Brandon refuses to tell them anything. He doesn’t want to tell them what happened because then they’ll know what Dani did to him and till this day he doesn’t even like to admit that to himself.

So he ignores their pesky questions and for the most part he tries to avoid his dad as well. Though his mom does try to squash this. Stef knows how important it is for Brandon to start talking to Mike again. Her son needs his father and there is no way around that. So she pushes Brandon into doing stuff. Nothing big! Just simple things like returning a casserole dish she could have easily returned herself.

If Brandon won’t go willing to his father then Stef is afraid to force the issue!

Brandon did give his father back the dish although he didn’t exactly fall in with Stef’s plan by following that up with a quick heart to heart with his dad. Not that it was ever an option seeing as Mike couldn’t very well introduce his son to his newest houseguest. It seems Mike has moved Ana (the twins’ drug addict of a mother) from the motel he was footing the bill for to his own place. And that means that technically his dad’s home still isn’t a safe for Brandon.

Before he was worried about running into Dani, his father’s girlfriend that molested him, but if when he finds out that Ana has moved in then Brandon will just as equally upset to learn the woman that tried to extort money from his is now shacking up with his dad. Mike likes to believe that Ana has changed but Stef isn’t as sure of her.

Currently Ana is in her making amends stage of her treatment and wants to see her children again because she knows that she has to start with them. Yet, so far, Stef had stopped that from happening. She doesn’t quite trust Ana around her children and while she’s bent on doing what she believes is best for them – her daughter is clearly suffering from an identity crisis.

Mariana hates even the thought of being Mexican and that has her so prejudice – she’s managed to hate any and every connotations of her heritage.

The cute boy she likes, Mat, had invited her to a Mexican festival. He used to go these things all the time with his family so he thought why not have fun there again only this time with Mariana. But she hates it. And she won’t hide that fact to spear his feelings. In her mind, the reason she’s angry is because she hates that he would merely assume she would enjoy herself seeing as she was Latina even though that’s not how she likes to identify herself.

And what was the final nail in the proverbial coffin for Mariana was the fact Ana was there. They had run into each other outside of the restrooms and right there in front of everyone – Ana started going on about making amends. So Mariana fled.

She was in a panic and unfortunately Mat was the nearest target. She just started yelling at him until he fed up and asked what was really happening. Mat was smart enough to realize that Mariana’s biggest grudge wasn’t with him or with the Mexican culture and so he asked about the woman he saw her talking to.

All of the Foster kids (minus Jude) were at the festival and they all wanted to have fun with their respective partners. Yet that didn’t seem to be the case for any of them. Hayley and Jesus got in another fight after she realized he got the idea to go to the festival from his siblings. She was more hoping that he came up with the festival all on his own – it would have shown that he made an effort in their relationship (at least according to her). So to hear otherwise made her mad and him stupid. He later decided to make it up to Hayley by tattooing her name onto his skin!

Then there was Callie, Wyatt, and Brandon. They were supposed to have fun but Liam showed up and the guys lost their cool. They attacked Liam knowing full well how much Callie detests violence of any kind. So while Callie can’t really be done with her potential adoptive brother – Wyatt was a different story.

And for Mariana; denying she’s Mexican by saying little things like she never grew up with it – it helped her distance herself from Ana. Ana wasn’t a good mother to her or her brother so the dyed hair and sometimes borderline type of behavior all came because when she tried to ignore everything she inherited from her mother.

Mat, thankfully, was able to be there for her and support her. With him by her side, she then changed her mind about seeing Ana. Mariana told Stef that she wants to see Ana again!

THE END!
