Bobby Brown and Pat Houston are now co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown, and the Houston family lost control of the $20 Million estate they have been waiting to cash in on. Bobbi Kristina Brown has been lying in a hospital bed since her January 31st drowning and reportedly is breathing on her own but has irreversible brain damage, and will most likely never live a normal life. Unbeknownst to her, while she was in and out of a medically induced coma her father Bobby Brown was fighting tooth and nail with her Grandmother Cissy Houston and Aunt Pat Houston over her medical decisions and $20 Million inheritance.
In April 2015 it was revealed that Bobby Brown was suing the Houston Family for guardianship of his daughter and control over her $20 Million inheritance. At the time Bobby Brown was making all of Bobbi Kristina’s medical decisions, but her estate was willed to Cissy Houston and the Houston family in the event of her death – and the Houstons were serving as executors of Bobbi’s inheritance. On Friday May 8 Bobby and the Houston Family headed to court over his daughter’s guardianship. The judge appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston now officially co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown, but the Houston Family lost control over Bobbi’s money.
According to a report from TMZ, the judge appointed an attorney named Bedelia Hargrove to replace Pat Houston as Bobbi Kristina’s conservator and oversee her estate, assets, and any legal claims necessary. So, in a nutshell – Bobby Brown may not have gotten control of his daughter’s money, but Pat Houston and Cissy Houston lost control of the $20 Million.
