The 2015 Bachelor finale was an interesting one, Chris Soules shocked everybody by openly admitting to his friends and family that he had more of a connection with Becca Tilley than Whitney Bischoff. But, at the final rose ceremony he chose to propose to Whitney Bischoff by default, because he knew she was ready to say “yes” and get married and Becca was not.
Long before The Bachelor 2015 finale aired on ABC, spoilers were leaked teasing that Chris Soules gave his final rose to one contestant – even though he was obviously more in love with the other. And, judging from the finale that aired this week – those spoilers were 100% true.
CDL has been reporting for weeks that Chris Soules was in love with Becca Tilley, but decided at the last minute to choose Whitney Bischoff as the 2015 winner because she was willing to get married right away and move to Arlington, Iowa. And, now In Touch magazine is backing up our story and in the March 23rd edition of In Touch they reveal that Chris Soules is still in love with Becca Tilley, and is regretting his decision to propose to Whitney Bischoff. According to the magazine’s sources, “Becca was the one that he really seemed to want as his wife. He loved her. And he probably still does. You don’t just fall out of love with someone.” In Touch goes on to say that Soules chose Whitney because she was a “safe bet” and Becca had confessed she wasn’t ready to move to Arlington or get engaged.
The always predictable Gossip Cop is debunking In Touch’s article, and claiming that their “insiders” say Chris Soules is not in love with Becca Tilley, but at one point he did “care for her.” Did these “insiders” not watch The Bachelor finale? It was almost embarrassingly obvious that Chris Soules wanted to choose Becca Tilley, but his family strongly advised against it.
Chris’s sister even went as far as to tell him that he “joined The Bachelor to find a wife, not a girlfriend her really liked,” when she was instructing him to send Becca Tilley home. Why else would Chris go to Becca Tilley’s hotel room the night before the rose ceremony and have that totally awkward conversation basically begging her to give him a sign that she wanted to be with him? There is no doubt in our minds that the only reason Whitney Bischoff got a ring was because Becca Tilley didn’t want one.
