“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Abigail (Kate Mansi) will make a startling declaration to Will (Guy Wilson) about her baby. If the paternity test reveals that Chad (Billy Flynn) is the father, Abigail will do something drastic. There are a lot of things that statement could mean. First of all, it could suggest that Abigail is considering having an abortion. However, it’s probably best that DOOL steers clear of any extremely controversial storyline right now in light of the weak ratings.
“Days” needs to add viewers, not alienate some of the ones they already have. Besides, this child can provide fodder for a plethora of storylines down the road. There’s no point in squashing the baby drama right now. When you remember that there was a recent casting call for twins to play an infant, it seems like a done deal that Abigail will soon be a mom.
It’s possible that Abigail could consider an abortion and back out. In that case, the drastic move Abigail speaks of could mean passing off the child as Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson). Of course, it’s going to be hard to keep Chad out of this situation. Once Chad and Ben find out about the baby, they’ll realize either one of them could be the father. Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) certainly won’t just let this go either. The DiMera patriarch has made it known that he wants Chad and Abigail together. Stefano will undoubtedly be convinced that his pride and joy was the one who knocked up the delicate Deveraux.
That brings us to our next option. “Days of Our Lives” rumors hint that Abigail could threaten to cut Chad out of the child’s life completely. Again, it’s difficult to see how Abigail thinks she can get Stefano to drop the idea of her building a family with Chad. Stefano values his brood above all else. If he gets the news that this baby is a DiMera, you better believe that “Nonno” will want to be a part of his or her life. This could be a DiMera heir and Stefano will stop at nothing to make sure Chad has the opportunity to step in as the father.
On the off chance that Abigail does decide to have an abortion, she’ll likely be kidnapped by Stefano and whisked off to some faraway location. (Ireland, perhaps?) In fact, some DOOL rumors have pointed to a potential abduction that somehow ties in with Andre’s (Thaao Penghlis) return. Whatever happens, Abigail has some rough months ahead of her. Word has it that through the magic of the soap world, Abigail will give birth just in time to get the baby an ornament on the Horton Christmas tree.
