“Days Of Our Lives” (DOOL) spoilers and casting news are confirming that Martha Madison is headed back to the NBC soap opera. DOOL rumors have been floating around for months that Martha Madison was returning to Salem as Belle Black during the 50th anniversary celebration.
With all of the guest appearances and familiar faces headed back to Salem right now, it’s nearly impossible to keep track of them all. But, according to spoilers from the official “Days Of Our Lives” Instagram page – Martha Madison is returning to the soap, and her first air date will be in the middle of November.
For those of you who don’t remember Belle Black, she was the daughter of John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall). The character was originally introduced in 1993 and played by nearly half a dozen different child stars.
Martha Madison took on the part of Belle in 2004, until her exit in 2008. During Martha’s reign as Belle Black, she was BFF’s with Chloe Lane, high-school sweethearts with bad boy Phillip Kiriakis, and then she wound up having a baby and marrying Shawn Brady (Jason Cook).
Belle Black exited Salem in 2008 with her daughter Claire and husband Shawn – and no one has seen her nor heard from her since. DOOL spoilers have already confirmed that Shawn Brady is returning to the soap opera, so it seems fitting that his wife will be right behind him.
It’s also interesting that Phillip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) is returning to Salem in December – they might as well have a high-school reunion while they are all back in town.
