It’s official, the Duggars are headed back to TLC – well, some of them. The network confirmed this week that Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar have landed their own spinoff reality TV show. TLC canceled “19 Kids And Counting” in July 2015 after Josh Duggar’s sex scandal. Reports hit the internet that when he was 15 years old he had molested his own sisters. Ironically, Jill and Jessa were two of Josh’s victims – but they publicly stood by their brother and insisted that the world was over-reacting, and it was perfectly okay for him to fondle them in their sleep.
Jessa and Jill’s new special will give fans of the Duggar Family a look at the girls’ new families. Jessa is currently pregnant with her first child, and Jill and her husband Derick just welcomed their son Israel to the world – now they are packing up the baby and moving to El Salvador to do missionary work. TLC vice president Nancy Daniels dished about the new TV show to the Associated Press, “What we will be following in these specials is Jessa preparing for her first child and we’ll be watching Jill preparing to make a major move to Central America with her family, which we know is something our audience will be interested in.”
According to reports – Josh Duggar and his wife Anna will not be featured on the new Duggar reality TV show on TLC, which is a no-brainer. The network would have to be out of their minds to cosign on such a controversial and hated cast member. It will be interesting to see if viewers are still interested in Jessa and Jill’s stories – seeing as how they publicly supported their brother after the sex scandal.
Will you be tuning in to the new Duggar reality TV show? Will fans and viewers still look at Jessa and Jill the same? Will it be a hit, or a total disaster? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
