General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Sam and Carly Attack Liz – Jason Takes True Love’s Side

Sam Liz

“General Hospital” spoilers tease that the war for Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) is far from over and this week, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) tag team attack Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and it’s not pretty.

But Carly and Sam may not get the results they’re hoping for no matter that the “truth” is on their side. Problem is, both Carly and Sam underestimated the depth of Jason’s feelings for Liz and that assumption will result in hurt feelings.

After Sam tries to ferret our Liz’s secret from little Jake Spencer (James Nigbor) and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis), she’ll go confront her nemesis Liz. Likely Liz won’t come clean to Sam no matter what and who can blame her?

This will the second big confrontation Liz will face this week over Jason. Carly will also come after Liz over Jason. Simply, Carly thinks Liz should step aside now that she found out that her fiancé already has a wife and family.

Carly will lay into Liz about being after Jason for years even though he “belongs” with Sam. Carly has it all worked out in her head that Liz doesn’t deserve Jason and that Sam is the woman he’s meant to be with – but is Carly right in this?

The Jason Morgan of the past had strong feelings for both Sam and Liz, had children with them both and was engaged to them both. And Jason walked away from both to keep them safe from his criminal ties. Both women loved and lost him.

The Jason Morgan of the present, though, is a whole different person. He’s a throwback to pre-brain injury Jason of old who has simply retained the muscle memory of Stone Cold Jason (that’s why he can still kill so efficiently).

In fact, this Jason is not the man that Sam fell in love with – the adrenaline death wish junkie who killed at will. This is a Jason that would never have gotten involved with a con-woman like Sam, but would have preferred Nurse Liz.

This Jason also has nearly a year of building a meaningful relationship with Liz who – let’s admit – fell for him long before she knew he was Jason. And this Jason has no memories of his marriage with Sam or long-standing ties to Carly.

What’s more, if Carly and Sam sat down and explained all the hijinks they got into with Jason of old, new Jason would very likely not approve of the lies, violence and chicanery of his past. But all Carly and Sam know is they want him back.

Some fans have commented that Jason was remembering Sam – he’s had some flashbacks of time with her. But most of these occurred under the tenure of former head writer Ron Carlivati and may not be part of the current story plans.

The bottom line is this – Sam and Carly will come at Liz hard. Both want her to give up Jason, but she won’t. Liz will fight til the bitter end to keep her man. And what will stun Sam and Carly is that Jason will take Liz’s side.

Carly will tell Jason flat out that he needs to get back with Sam and leave Liz. Jason will tell Carly to step off and tell her that he loves Liz and Sam is little more than a friendly stranger. When Carly presses, Jason will push her away.

Jason will also defend Liz from Sam’s attempts to break them up. This week, when Liz is distraught over these attacks, Jason will reconfirm his feelings for her. This encouragement could be the key that leads Liz to finally come clean to Jason.

Sam’s overt aggression towards Liz will also get back to Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) and will fuel his suspicions that Sam is lying to him about her feelings for both him and Jason. Sam may lose Patrick this week as well as Jason.
