“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers tease that Paul Hornsby’s (Richard Burgi) secret reign of terror in Port Charles is about to hit a bump and Paul may start taking out those who could expose his dirty secrets – chief among these being Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise).
If only Carlos had left town when Paul told him to, he might be okay – but Carlos won’t leave Port Charles knowing Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) is carrying his child. This ordeal has already been tough on Sabrina – and it may yet get tougher.
We all saw how easily Paul took out Kyle Sloane (Robb Derringer) when he posed a complication in Paul’s plans. Will Carlos face a similar fate because he’s stuck around town and outstayed his welcome? What would trigger Paul to take out Carlos?
The short answer is – Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Once Anna gets back from her trip to Greece to rescue daughter Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough), she and Mac Scorpio (John J York) will be back on the case.
Mac was supposed to run a DNA test on the body that was reported to be Carlos and compare it to Sloane’s DNA using the toothbrush Mac took from his apartment. Will Mac have the DNA results by the time Anna gets back?
If so, they will know that Sloane was the body and that Carlos likely isn’t dead but Paul wanted Carlos thought dead for nefarious reasons. And what could cement this for Anna is getting her eyes on Carlos to 100% confirm that he’s alive.
Anna knows that and so does Paul so getting Carlos out of the picture is the best thing for Paul considering what Anna has found out. Paul will know soon that Anna has been digging into his life and that will spur him to take action to protect himself.
And since Carlos has shown that he’s unwilling to leave town, Paul may have to come up with a more permanent solution for his Carlos problem. If Anna can’t hunt down Carlos, that will short-circuit her investigation.
If Paul take Carlos out, that means Sabrina will have to grieve Carlos again – this time knowing he’s the father of her unborn child. Plus Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) is about to break it off with Sabrina because he knows she’s been lying about him being the father of her child.
It looks like Paul will destroy any number of lives if he decides killing Carlos is the only way out of his dilemma. Let’s face it – the noose is tightening around Paul’s neck – not only is Anna hot on his tail but Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is about to find out about Paul’s secret lover Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Look for Paul to act out in coming weeks to tie up loose ends. That means he could target Carlos, Ava, Anna or anyone else that gets in his way. And if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) finally figures out the gun runner is tied to Paul, all hell is going to break loose and no one in Port Charles may be safe!
