“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is finally ready to give some all-important answers to PCPD Commish Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine), but could the confession land Anna a cell at Pentonville?
For months now, Jordan has been suspicious of Anna’s cagey actions – particularly when it came to Anna asking pointed questions about the Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) investigation. Jordan knew something was off when it came to Anna and Carlos, but didn’t know what.
Jordan’s interest was further piqued when Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) hired Anna as his special investigator. Jordan knew that Anna didn’t care for Paul, so the new arrangement made her even more suspicious.
But with Mac Scorpio (John J York) getting the proof that the body Paul had hastily cremated was Kyle Sloane (Robb Derringer) and not Carlos, Anna needs to pull someone official into the investigation. Since she’s a consultant and Mac a private citizen, they need a cop in on this.
The bottom line is that Anna will have a sit down with Jordan and tell her that she did shoot Carlos (four times in fact) but he’s not dead and the body Paul cremated was Sloane’s. This last will be a shocker since none of them suspected Sloane had been killed.
But now that Anna has proof of death for Sloane, they next need proof of life for Carlos. But with Anna’s confession and no one having seen Carlos since his “death,” will Jordan have to arrest her for confessing to murder?
It’s more likely that Jordan will give Anna the benefit of the doubt since Anna hasn’t fled town yet. This will give Jordan and Anna the chance to compare notes on Paul’s strange behavior and overstepping of boundaries.
Anna will fully admit to Jordan that she did wrong by taking aim at Carlos rather than arresting him and turning him over for a trial. Fortunately for Anna, Jordan has been an undercover cop in the past which sometimes meant committing crimes.
Also acting in Anna’s favor is that Jordan really hates Paul. So Jordan will be willing to gamble on Anna’s innocence and that Carlos is alive if there’s a chance at taking Paul down. What also may prove positive for Anna, Jordan, and Mac’s investigation is that Paul has messed up his personal life lately.
Now that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is angry at Paul after she caught him with Ava Jerome (Maura West), she might be willing to talk to Anna about Paul’s past. If they ask the right questions, Tracy might even tell them about Paul’s involvement with Ava.
If Jordan and Anna find out about Paul sexing up the lady mobster, that could help them put the pieces together since Carlos is a known Jerome hit man. That info could help them figure out that whatever Paul is doing, the mob is involved.
