Lil Scrappy jumped on Instagram to tell Wendy Williams how he felt in what might end up a huge feud after Scrappy announced that Williams is “destroying her own people.” Lil Scrappy is referring to “The Wendy Williams’ Show” in which Wendy often takes shots at celebrities in the news.
Williams is known for her acid tongue and quick criticism of many Black actors and entertainers. It turns out, Lil Scrappy thinks that Wendy Williams should be more supportive and less critical of celebrities who are also Black.
A photo of Wendy Williams was posted to Lil Scrappy’s Instagram page on Friday, November 13. The caption on the photo read, “Everybody go check this lady Wendy williams out I just seen her destroy her own people on her show. She went against Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad already and now she just shitted on the black women on married to medicine and then talk bad and downplay @missymisdemeanorelliottsayin the young kids Dnt Knw her and then try and say her video better than the song like she giving her credit but she still bashing blacks and say all the great things about all the other races so f**k u @wendyshow that shit crazy somebody going to bash you and your legacy one day love u cause your black but hate the way u act.”
Maybe Wendy Williams doesn’t want to align herself with Bill Cosby. It’s looking pretty bad for the now-shamed Hollywood icon. It’s pretty reasonable that Wendy would have something to say about all of the accusations against Cosby and that doesn’t mean she is destroying anything.
That certainly doesn’t mean that Wendy Williams is a saint either. As Lil Scrappy pointed out, Wendy has been rather negative about Missy Elliot’s very exciting comeback. Missy just debuted her first single since 2012 with “WTF (Where They From).”
Apparently Wendy Williams still loves Missy Elliott but thinks the younger generation just doesn’t know who she is and she won’t be successful. Wendy even pointed out her own 15-year old son and said he doesn’t know anything about Missy. Is that his fault or does his parent need to educate her child on some of the better days in hip hop?
Anyway, Lil Scrappy isn’t happy with Wendy Williams’ premature death warrant on Missy Elliott’s career. That’s just par for the course with Wendy though. She tends to take jabs at everybody in the business and some artists are just way easier to poke fun at than others. One thing that’s for sure, Wendy Williams always pokes fun at the easiest targets and steers clear of those who might give Williams a real hard time back.
We’re betting Wendy Williams will have something to say about Lil Scrappy’s commentary about “destroying her own people” and it might turn from a feud into an all out war.
