RECAP:

#MarriageBootCamp begins on day three with Kendra telling Elizabeth she wants the truth from Hank. Elizabeth tells Hank this and then Jim and Elizabeth talk about Hank’s phone call revealed in the media. Jim tells Kendra that Hank wants his family happy and he tells her they need to come clean on what happened. Jim says Hank says the tabloid story is only half the truth. Elizabeth says Hank needs to tell some truths to save his marriage. Elizabeth tells him the truth will set him free.

She tells Kendra that she needs to hear all the dirty details that will come out in public. Hank tells her the hardest thing about telling her the truth is that he’s scared she’s going to leave him. He cries and says he doesn’t want her to be hurt. Kendra asks if he wants to fight it legally and he says he wants to get it off his chest but he says to seek advice on his legal options. Kendra says they need to have some kind of control over the story. Jim says Kendra has conflicting emotions.

Elizabeth says Kendra wants the truth and wants to protect Hank but these goals conflict. Jim tells Hank to talk to his lawyer and Jim wonders if Hank is using the lawyer stuff to keep from telling Kendra the truth. Elizabeth says this gives them time to create a safe space for Hank. Tami tells the others that Hank has to tell them the truth or it’s done. Jim calls them to the bootcamp room. Aubrey says it’s not fair the rest of them have to expose themselves but Kendra and Hank are not.

Jim welcomes them all and asks Aubrey and Travis what’s up. They tell him it’s all about Kendra and Hank and Elizabeth reminds them they had a rough day the day before. Elizabeth says they’re there for all of them and talks about Aubrey and Travis breaking the pact not to talk about her friend. Aubrey says they did and Travis says she doesn’t have his back. Aubrey says she won’t compromise what’s right and wrong to become his puppet.

Travis tells Elizabeth he doesn’t trust her. Jim thinks that Travis is being stubborn and his lack of trust is a pattern. Elizabeth says she has to show him the documents of what they saw. She shows him a transcript of their conversation from the producers. Travis says he remembers the conversation and Jordan says they broke it. Elizabeth says Travis is so stubborn even in the face of evidence. They tell them they have to go clean the horse stables. Aubrey says she has no shoes for it.

The others laugh at them and Jim says the consequences will get worse for the next rule breaker. Jim says today is all about total honesty and Elizabeth says the breaking point is where the healing begins. They tell them it’s time for the next drill. They separate the men and women as they enter a mock courtroom. Mike says he’s been in a lot of courts lately and this makes him very uncomfortable. Elizabeth says you often don’t find out who you’re with until a divorce.

Judge Lynn Toler of Divorce Court is there and Jim says bringing in an outside party like this lets you get a gritty assessment of your relationship. They all stand as the judge comes in and Reggie says he used to have a crush on her. Tami and Reggie are up first. The judge greets them and says she knows they’re not married but wants to see how they got there. She plays their intake tape, a pre-interview they do before the show starts.

Tami says Reggie wants marriage and kids but she’s done that. Reggie talks about Tami complaining about small stuff. He says she has no filter and disrespects him. The judge tells Reggie to stand up then says Tami acts like his mother. He says he likes to analyze things before he speaks and the judge tells Tami she has to respect him as a man and individual and she’s making him the number two dog. The judge tells Tami to stop talking nonsense and calls her down.

The Plea for Help exercise is making Tami uncomfortable. The judge tells Tami she needs to stop. She yells at her and Tami finally shuts up. The judge says she won’t keep her mouth closed long enough to listen. She hushes then the judge asks what her life will look like in three years. She says she’ll be with Reggie and they may have a child. Reggie is stunned. She says they will be living happily in Houston. Aubrey says that’s crazy and Travis says Reggie must have laid some pipe.

The judge asks if she’s changing because she’s had a change of heart or to shut the judge up. Tami says their relationship is valuable to her and she knows she has to compromise. Reggie says he never has any idea what will come out of her mouth. He says Tami tries to rule their relationship. The judge says Reggie puts up with her because she loves her. The judge says later she will give her a survivability score later. Elizabeth says they don’t want the score to distract them for now.

She says later it will be a good tool to see if they’ve improved. Kendra and Hank are next on the chopping block. The judge says they’ll look at the interview tape first. Kendra says they have trust and communication issues. Hank says Kendra has walls and they’ve rebuilt recently. She says Hank has to win her back. The judge asks about Hank having sex with someone else then it came out today with a tape of them talking. Kendra says her team called to tell her about the tape.

Kendra says this affects her and outside influences are hard. The judge says Hank hurt her and says he’s the problem. Kendra says he has to speak for himself. The judge says he won’t have to if Kendra keeps putting blame elsewhere. The judge tells Hank he isn’t addressing his wrong and says he doesn’t even know how to feel bad appropriately. She asks the three things wrong with him. He says he tries to make things perfect. She says that’s not what’s wrong.

The judge rattles off her three biggest wrongs. She says Hank can’t fix anything if he can’t acknowledge what’s wrong. Hank says he needs to look in the mirror and admit it faults. She tells him to not just speak it but work it. Mike and Lauren are next and they watch the interview. He says Lauren puts commitment pressure on him and he has a court date coming. He says she gets upset and he wants her to have faith they will work out.

The judge says she’ll start with the faith comment. She asks if Mike really wants them to be together or if he just wants someone there with him now. She asks if Lauren is really the woman for him. Mike kind of stammers around and doesn’t have a good answer. Travis says Mike is floundering. Mike says he wants something with substance and the judge stops him and asks what was the question. Lauren admits she doesn’t like this and Mike says she’s called him a slut and a whore.

He says he’d like to know about his past and Lauren says he wants to know if she joined the mile high club. The judge tells Mike he needs to learn to actively listen to her. They’re done and next is Jordan and Jeff. Jordan says they’re lacking romance and affection. Jeff says he’s worried that Jordan wants to move away from LA and is tired of it. The judge tells Jordan that all women want to hear they look nice and says Jeff is talking about more serious issues.

The judge says they haven’t discussed what religion they would raise their kids because Jordan doesn’t want to talk about religion. She says she’s Christian and he’s Catholic. The judge tells her Catholics are Christians and says it’s not two different things. Jim says this is a serious issue because they’re not communicating. Elizabeth says there should be no topics off the table with your mate. They’re done and then it’s Aubrey and Travis’s turn.
[6:38:18 PM] Rachel Rowan: Aubrey talks about Travis’s jealousy and she says she flirts with men and women. Travis says he hates the way she talks to him and says she told him she was going to f-k another guy. The judge asks for an example of flirting. Travis says she invited a guy to sit on her lap. Aubrey says he talks to her disrespectfully. She says at this point, she doesn’t think he’s the one for her. She says she had a bra and tank top on and he said she had her nipples out. He says she wasn’t wearing a bra.

The judge says so what and says her girls have escaped and it’s happened. She asks why he’s mad about it and she says he’s always with constant criticism and says he’s whittled her away so she’s hurt and vulnerable and says he makes her feel horrible. She tells him to be a better person. Aubrey tells him later that the judge didn’t say he’s a bad person. The judge tells her that if he’s gone tomorrow, she’s fine and she should own it. She is done with them all.

She says she may see some of them in her court if they don’t work it out. Aubrey tells Travis that he wouldn’t be so bothered if there wasn’t truth. Travis says the judge is disgusting and he walks away for fresh air. He goes upstairs to their room. Mike asks Aubrey if she’s okay then says he doesn’t think Travis will leave. He thinks the judge was attacking him. Lauren tells Aubrey she needs to take care of herself. Aubrey goes crying to Jim to get him to talk to Travis.

Jim goes up and asks Travis to talk to him. Lauren hugs Aubrey and she says that Travis doesn’t handle hearing the truth. Lauren tells Aubrey she deserves better and says to give him an ultimatum. Lauren says she needs to have that conversation with him that he has to change or she has to move on to protect herself. Aubrey agrees. Travis sits down with Jim and says he was double teamed. Jim says it’s like with Aubrey and her friend where he feels like they’re ganging up on him.

Jim says it’s a good lesson to not let others make him lose sight of working on himself. Travis says he tries to rise up and steps up to the plate but she’s not changing. Elizabeth sits down with Aubrey and says she clings to relationships that aren’t what she needs because she’s afraid to be alone. She says she needs someone to make her feel complete. Elizabeth says she had that issue too and says she’s never been single since she was 14. She says you have to find peace in being alone.

Kendra tells Mike that she feels bad for Travis. Jim tells Travis it takes two to make a relationship and he can only be accountable for himself. Jim says he can’t say if he does this, she has to do this. He says that’s conditional. Travis gives Jim a hug and thanks him. Tami tells Hank they’re all there being honest and laying their issues out. Tami says they only want to share with Jim and Elizabeth but Tami says the story is out. Kendra says there are things about their stories no one knows.

Tami asks if there was a transgender. Hank hedges. Tami says she would be okay with it. Kendra tells her to stop and Tami says she’s keeping it real. Kendra tells her to be careful what she says to her husband and says to stop judging him. Aubrey tells Elizabeth she gets validation from her career then they hear screams from downstairs. Elizabeth tells her she needs to fill the void in her apart from Travis and he needs to do the same.

Tami and Kendra escalate and then Hank has to hold back Kendra when she comes at Tami. Reggie holds Tami back and Tami says she’s not that bitch that will put up with this. Lauren thinks Tami was giving Hank the opportunity to speak up but Kendra went crazy. Tami says if they can’t be real they need to get the f-k out of the house. Kendra rants and Hank puts a hand over her mouth and tells her to stop. Kendra tells Tami to apologize.

Reggie tries to hold back Tami. It gets uglier and uglier. Kendra tells Hank to stop blocking her. Downstairs, Tami says she’s giving them an opportunity to explain it and says where she comes from being defensive means you’re guilty. Kendra thinks the others should be more sensitive. Jim calls them for evaluations and Kendra says she feels very separate from the group right now. Elizabeth calls up Tami and Reggie and asks what happened.

Tami says they’re there to share and she wanted to address Kendra and Hank’s issues and she offended Kendra. Elizabeth says Kendra was hurt and says they’re all raw and exposed and in a vulnerable place. She says today was about compatibility. She says they won’t see Judge Toler’s scores until later. Elizabeth tells Tami she needs to slow up and give Reggie some space. Then Kendra and Hank get their evaluation. Elizabeth says it’s a group process and they need to be more open.

Jeff says Hank and Kendra should share or go home. Elizabeth tells Jordan and Jeff they need to communicate more. Jeff says they’re so far apart and Elizabeth says they need to talk and agree. Jordan says they need to talk more about their feelings. Jim tells Aubrey and Travis they’re at a crossroads and need to learn to love and respect each other and he says they will give them the tools but if they don’t put in the work, they won’t leave together.

Mike and Lauren are next and Elizabeth says Mike is still shut down emotionally. Jim says when he gets wordy it’s because he feels like he’s not being heard. Jim challenges him to tighten up and be precise. That’s it and Jim says they will see them tomorrow to open up more wounds. Travis says they all just groaned about going in even deeper. They tell them goodnight. Aubrey tells Travis he’s still sensitive about the judge and if he can listen it will be better.

Kendra tells Hank she’s losing hope and says this is too much. Aubrey and Travis kiss and Jeff says those two fight then are back together and Travis says that’s the nature of their relationship. Hank says he had no idea it was going to be like this. Kendra says she needs to figure things out before she can open up. Travis says Kendra and Hank are wet blankets. Kendra tells Hank she’s done with the others. Kendra says they don’t need these other two people and it’s over for her.
