On the last episode, in a small town outside of Atlanta, Georgia, the local Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) was run by President Carla Stephens and she was stopped at nothing to make sure the local elementary school had everything it needed. At the first board meeting of the school year, Carla announced that she expected the PTO to raise and donate $100,000 to the elementary school and would need everyone to go over and beyond her high standards to make that happen. While new members Amber B., Amber C. and LaShon realized they were in over their heads, veteran Volunteer Coordinator Robin was off to a rough start and was already on probation. The Pink Pajama Party kicked off the first fundraising event of the season but when Robin handed out an unapproved party favor, it lead to a near breakdown and breakup of the PTO. RECAP:

Stemming from last week’s fight, Carla finally realized that something had to give. And that something was the way she chose to handle the board during her administration.

The PTO board and many organizations like it tend to focus on the positive. These people, these volunteers, come together to raise money and help kids. Meaning, they don’t generally end up battleground for women with big egos. Yet that’s exactly what the PTO board of Locust Gove has become since Carla and Robin openly began feuding. So on tonight’s all new episode, Carla has made a decision that she hopes will change all of that.

Earlier, Robin had talked to Carla and later even her vice president had said something similar when she told her that maybe she should take a step back.

It wasn’t meant as an insult but the ladies each felt like that board was being too micromanaged. And truth be told Carla was also running the newest volunteers off with such behavior. Thus, the president ended up receiving some advice.

Instead of overseeing everything and frankly lowering morale, Carla was advised to let the other women on the board have more of a say. So that’s what she did. Carla told them that she was going to be giving up some control and then she gave them just enough rope to hang themselves.

Because this is what Carla did: she gave a big fundraising event to the newest member on the board (Amber C.) and then she sat back knowing that next endeavor was bound to fail.

Nothing against Amber but the woman is still learning how to fundraise. So putting her in charge was actually a tactic. Carla purposely chose her because she wants to teach the other women a lesson. And that is – they need her.

So when they fail, which is what she believed would naturally happen, then they’ll know how much her way was the right way!

But, once again, Carla doubted Robin’s capabilities.

The other woman had called Amber and had offered her some help in arranging things for their next event. Although, to be fair, Robin did have some ulterior motives when suddenly she came to the rescue. It seems that she figured out how to sway the other women from voting her off the board. Thus, she offered to help Amber C when she desperately needed it and she also kind of bribed LaShon.

LaShon was worried about accepting cake from Robin but just like Amber she realized one very crucial thing – Robin is indispensable.

Robin is the one that brings in the money. She found someone to fund the food and the drinks. Plus she did her best to clean up after Amber C. So by time the event rolled around – it was Robin that had did her best to salvage everything. Meanwhile all Carla could do was point out what was wrong.

Carla hated the table settings and apparently she didn’t believe an unauthorized volunteer, Amber’s husband, should be the one handling the money at the front desk. However, the event involved watching/babysitting kids in the hopes of raising money. And that’s what they did.

Even if it wasn’t up to Carla’s standards!

So at the next PTO meeting, the women just weren’t having it. Amber refused to let Carla put her down and eventually Carla threw her out. And after Amber left, Shayzon didn’t want to stick around. She said she was tired of the fighting and so she left before they could vote on Robin’s probation.
