Get your first look at the three-part Bravo special “The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In” which will air on beginning Saturday, October 11 at 8 p.m. ET. In the special viewers will catch up with Joe Giudice – who is raising the couple’s four daughters with the help of family as Teresa Giudice serves her 15-month prison sentence in a federal correctional facility.
Things haven’t been easy for Joe – but he does have the full support of both his in-laws – the Gorgas – and his own family. Several times during the first look clip Teresa is heard checking in on her husband and daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana by phone. Her brother Joe Gorga and his family were filmed at the Giudice home during one of these phone calls. Joe asked his sister if he could come and visit her but viewers did not get to hear her reply.
Gia is growing up and Joe is having a difficult time dealing with his teenage daughter’s everyday problems – including pimples and boys. In the clip Gia is shown going to her 8th grade dance and Joe Giudice advises his daughter and her date that there should be no close up dancing.
From the looks of it Joe’s daughters are running him ragged. He comments, “It’s a hard keeping up with all these kids, I’m doing a lot. I think I even lost 10 pounds.” Milania is definitely keeping her father busy as she makes herself coffee and takes off down the driveway on a pink all-terrain vehicle.
But Teresa Giudice still appears to rule the roost – even from prison. Viewers will see Joe preparing dinner and Gia tells him to use the Gucci plates. “How do you know?” Joe asks. “’Cause mom told me,” Gia replies. The clip contains a montage of scenes where Teresa calls home – at the end Joe laughs and says, “It’s amazing how she still controls everything from in there.”
At the end of the clip Joe Giudice and he girls are gathered as they take a phone call from Teresa Giudice who prays with them – asking God to bless her four daughters and her husband. The first look closes with a photo of Joe, Gia, Milania, Gabriella, Audriana and Teresa – who is dressed in prion greens.
